[He hears the knock, but before he can answer the door, Tove careens right into his face.]

Faaaaang! The snakey chain boy is here! [Fang pauses after managing to peel the badger off. Oh dear..

He grabs his long cloak on the way to the door, unlocking it immediately before swinging it wide open.]

What a pleasant surprise. Come in, before you freeze! [He already is unfurling the cloak to drape it around the boy's shoulders.]

[It takes a moment before the words register and Snake's chin tips up quickly, almost startled (he hadn't realized he'd been looking down). Staring at the man in the doorway, he remains standing on the stoop. The mark on the man's face draws his attention, but not in a bad way at all. Jumbo had tattoos like that...]

'Snake did not intent to surprise you,' says Webster. [The concept of announcing one's visit escapes him. A step through the threshold and bright green eyes flicker around the house curiously, but doesn't venture far from the door. He'd be more visibly tense if he weren't feeling so tired.]

It's quite alright. Here, you better come by the fire.

[Slinging an arm around Snake's shoulders, he slowly steers him down a hall to the warm living room. There's a sofa before a low fire that he'll bring Snake to.]

[The arm around his shoulders is probably the most unsettling of all of this. His heels dig into the carpet a little in an attempt to resist the steering, even if he has little reason to do so. His sleepy brain is boggled, but also keeps him from resisting too noticeably.

The warm room they come to relaxes him as he turns his head to look up at the man. Not really to say anything, just to look at him.]

'Thank you, sir,' says Webster. [An intimidating looking viper peeks out from his hair again, flicking his tongue at Fang. That's Webster.]
