While the monsters didn't provide him the meals he needed, it was a way to vent his frustrations. It was a church job that nobody else was likely to do, which were the best kind. Frau stood on the roof, staring at the group that surrounded him, as usual. He felt so similar to them. Maybe that was why they always showed up in numbers.
Well, it just made it easier. Frau grinned and whipped the scythe out, severing a few right through the middle in one blow. Yup. He felt much better.

Most of them were ignoring him, so Kevin just reached up, put his hand against one. Slime slid down his arm and dissolved into falling ashes. The thing that died collapsed into a pile of ashes and salts. Another one did the same.
Kevin knew this was wrong. Knew it, and didn't care. He needed to feed the addiction. Yeah, after the Kingmaker he'd told Keller that he didn't want to use his powers like this, but what choice did he have? It was this - something that could almost be seen as a public service - or wasting food and lumber.
Better to feed the hunger this way.

Frau easily reversed the direction of the scythe and took out a monster that had approached to within a foot of him. The blade continued to move, holding the darkness creatures off with ease. His attention was mostly on finding the source of the human soul. It had to be somewhere nearby. The fact that he didn't hear any screams was probably a good sign.
His attention snapped back to the situation at hand when he felt a flare of red hot pain on his leg. Icy eyes turned to look down at the thing that was still alive.
"Pray to god, you creep." That said he slammed the type of the scythe into the creature's head, killing it for sure.
"Tch. You guys are really starting to piss me off." He had more important things to do now.

He'd taken a pretty bad gash in one side. Good thing he knew first aid. He'd get it back at the house, where he was hiding in his garage. Still, the thing's fingers dissolved after swiping at him. He hissed in a breath as he felt the warm drip of blood, but just grabbed onto the thing's arm and watched the decay and destruction run up the body. It was always fascinating to him.
He fell backward as one of the things shoved him off to pay more attention to something else. He stumbled away, but caught himself against the building.
