Basic Information )
Feel free to speak to him in his office, behind the bar or in the club itself. He's in a remarkably good mood, mostly because nothing's kicked off and things seem to be going well. All he could ask for on an opening night, really.]

He should kill him right now. What a wonderful opening night that would be. Instead he just smiles, raising his hand up, almost but not touching Matches' cheek.]
I wouldn't dream of it. Fragile human hearts don't have the time to waste.

Good answer. [ He cocks his head to the side a little, and flashes his canines- almost mockingly. ]
I'm lookin' forward ta workin' wit' ya.

Tell me something about yourself, Matches.

Nah. [ Blandly. Flatly. Not out of rebellion, but simple truth: he refuses, and he will not be moved. ]
I ain't tellin' ya so easily. Ya haveta watch me fer it.

And I will. Be watching.

He stands up, letting his usual lethal grace suffuse his movement for just a moment- then he goes back to the indolence. One hand on the back of the chair, leaning his weight on a single leg. ]
And I'll be lookin' forward ta what ya see.
[ A smirk. ]
See ya tomorrow night, Mister Eric.

But she cannot deny that there are some things that need to be cleared up on her end. Something that she won't take the risk talking over the network. So she waits for the right moment to slip in to Eric's office. ]

From within he takes out what looks like a book of stamps, which he tosses across the desk to Jessica's side.]
Have you found a job yet, Jessica?
Reply
I have. At Sam's place, Sector Zero. Figured start at something familiar and work from there.

Sit down.
This world, Jessica, is very different from home. With no Authority, it falls on us to make the rules we want, rather than to blindly obey what is set out for us by someone else. I have never been much of one for obeying rules.

I know. I was in a similar position in the other world I was in.

When I first arrived, I took shelter in underground caves. The land of the world was much like ancient Japan, and the natives there were not familiar with vampires.
[ She pauses, sensing some kind of gap with her memories. ]
For some reason, I can't remember certain things. Certain people. Maybe it's because they might have been Newcomers in that world, or maybe it's something else. I don't know. Either way, it's a big gap altogether, so I can only guess what happened at certain times ( ... )

[His eyes flicker up.]
We need to protect the source.

[ She stares at him. It's one thing that Jessica had done it - she was alone, she was certain of it. But two vampires with valuable blood means more chances for others to find opportunity. ]
