Fangtasia Info

Aug 02, 2011 11:20

With AGi unable to support their businesses on slave labour alone, Eric has been expressing his interest in turning one of the companies bars into a fully affiliated vampire bar, based on the model he created at home in Shreveport.

Fangtasia has always appealed to a wide variety of humans, trading on the desirability of vampires - long kept on the downlow in the Port due to the suspicious, internalised nature of the Sanguinarian Society. Eric's model glamourises vampires as something appealing and aims toward a gothic, punk, thrilllseeking or live fast die young crowd, but also appeals to those older drinkers who want to surround themselves with the eternally young, or perhaps have given up on life entirely.

The vampire bar incorporates the above target audience's needs alongside those of a vampire crowd. Clubbers must pay to enter and drinks must be bought seperately. Entertainment is provided, paid dancers, strippers and bands nightly, but the main draw is the appeal of the vampire visitors, providing humans with the thrill of being hunted in a safe environment.

Eric swears that no paying visitor of his home world club Fangtasia has ever died on the premises. This is naturally completely true, but non-paying 'visitors' have, and some paying visitors have been removed and later died in hospital--but hey, details details.

Doors open an hour before sunset, and underground admittance is provided after Darkness falls.

Happy hour is from sirens, and drinks are reduced to half price for that hour alone. Normally they are about 10% above the price of drinks in nearby bars, due to the specialised nature of the club.

No slave labour is necessary. Club income supports all of its employees as well as providing a healthy profit for both manager and Afterglow Inc.

The bar is vampire themed and as a result there is a considerable amount of black and red detailing. The seats are elegant, gothic and expensive, and the floor is a lush, black carpet. Guests are expected to take care of their environment, otherwise Eric will step in at vampire speed, catch the offending drink-spiller and remove them permanently from his establishment.

Naturally he's gone to efforts to make the club seem as similar to home as possible. Why change what feels as natural as breathing? Oh wait. Breathing. Right.
