[Backdated] Sleeping Beauty

Who: Kurogane, Fai D. Flourite, Kinomoto Sakura, and open to Nemu
When: July 18th, shortly after Kurogane's arrival.
Where: Skye Medical Centre.
Summary: Kurogane arrives to find all is not well with his idiot traveling companion and their not daughter.
Warnings: Stubborn mage and more stubborn ninja? Other than that, maybe mind language.

[Moments after her jubilant response, Nemu opened the door to the room, and walked inside.]

. . .

[Turquoise eyes immediately landed on the unknown man.]

Who are you?

[Straight to the point, as she stepped between Sakura and the man, eying the sleeping Fai for a moment, before her gaze shifted back to the stranger.]

[There were certainly similarities between the two girls, and yet this Sakura was someone all her own. No different than the situation with Syaoran. . .perhaps a touch less complicated. But then again, who was to say even that was right?

He gives a nod at her words, his gaze shifting once more to the door. That presence just beyond. . .

Well, that hadn't taken long. Kurogane holds his ground easily enough, back straight, expression stern but far from battle ready. Her stance, protective, certainly unafraid of him. It was rather interesting, was it not? Arms folding over his chest -]

Kurogane. [He kicks his head over towards Fai.] I've been traveling around with this guy. Who're you?

[ Sakura blinks. She isn't sure what to do right now with the tension so high, but she smiles anyway and awkwardly tries to fix it. ]

N- Nemu! It is okay! I've seen pictures of him. Fai showed me.

[It was the girl's reassurance that convinced her to stand down. She stepped back, revealing the girl she had blocked only moments before.

When she spoke she stared directly at Kurogane with a neutral facade.]

12th Squad Vice-Captain of the 13th Protection Squads, Kurotsuchi Nemu.

[Her hands were set demurely in front of her, but her voice was firm. After she introduced herself, she shifted her gaze down to Sakura, her eyes softer as she spoke to the young girl.]

Have you ate Sakura?

[While he didn't know entirely what that title meant, her presence alone was enough to confirm the basic fact for him - she was a fighter. A capable one at that, if instinct had her pinned right. And that she seemed to care for Sakura. . .

Kurogane bows his head slightly in acknowledgment.]

Gone on ahead if you haven't. I'll see to it that this guy is taken care of.
