Alice likes to go out for at least part of the day, mostly during Rabbit's work with the other rabbits at the manor. It's nicer to come home and spend time with him and the others, though she still hasn't grown very close to anyone. Instead, she holes herself up in the library as long as she needs to go through the books there. She would still prefer picture books, but... Well, she has had to grow up, certainly.

Today, she wanders out to the museum to see what all she's missed during these years. It's startling and jarring to see the pictures and the information, and it takes her quite a time to make her way through the building.

She finally gets to the Ancient Egypt section and she finds herself almost startled at one of the mummies. "Oh," she murmurs, speaking to herself mostly. "They shouldn't put you by the door. You're liable to startle visitors!"

He doesn't immediately recognize the young lady's voice as she remarks on the mummy near him. But that doesn't stop him from looking over his shoulder to give her a small, slightly shy smile.

"At least it's not cursed or it would just talk back to you, then."

She sets her hands on her hips and looks the mummy in the eye. Or...really, in the eye sockets.

"That might be a curious thing. I wonder what stories he would have to tell me. They might be sad, but quite interesting!" Alice looks over at him. "Don't you think?"

"Tales of an ancient yet glorious civilization..." Daniel remarks, looking a little thoughtful. "And he's well-preserved, too. He must have been very rich."
