Francis had just woken up at noon (his night shift hours were very difficult to break, after all), and had gone down to make lunch for the House. It was then that he'd been alerted - the pool was open for business. After waiting precisely thirty minutes after eating, and finding something appropriate in his closet, Francis went down to the basement to examine the pool. He was delighted at the size of it, and just how good it all looked. Michael had done a wonderful job.

Dodging a few of the chairs he'd bought personally at that furniture sale, Francis slowly made his way over, and sat down at the edge, dipping his feet, then his legs into the cool water. He let them swing back and forth lazily in the water, as he leaned back on his arms. It was relaxing, even though his thoughts had been mostly nothing but worrying about Liquid.

Because Light was going much the same thing for most of the morning, and as a result understood the need to speak to someone but not the desire to seek someone out to speak to he approaches Francis when he comes in after lunch, padding down to the edge of the pool himself. He's out now, in a towel, his hair mussed and wet, with little intention of getting his feet wet again without being strongly convinced.

"Resident or guest? I'm still trying to get to know everyone."

Turning, he looked up to see a man he wasn't quite sure he'd met before. But he'd seen him around recently, so that meant he must have been the man that had just moved in - or was going to move in, he hadn't had the opportunity to check with Michael since he'd been so busy in his afternoons and evenings, lately.

"Resident. I'm Francis Bonnefoy, I live on the fourth floor with Peter Kirkland." He held his hand up so it was easy for this new person to shake. "It's a pleasure to meet you, monsieur...?" He made his statement in the form of a question, implying a missing name.

Smoothly, Erik finished his lap to the far side of the pool, and slowed, pulling up next to Francis. He rolled over, flipping onto his back, and floating next to him.

"You're quite this afternoon."

[He's still sulking, but at least he shows up, though he sits quietly in his trunks, waving his legs idly in the water. He might feel better if he swam for a while, but he's not really feeling it.

So pedestrian.

It's so frustrating.

He looks miserable, tired, but not unapproachable.]

[Swimming trunks? What are those. Erik surfaces near by, white hair plastered to his head, gently kicking himself over.]

Settling in all right?

[She'd eaten, she'd worked out, she'd done the important things.

That is why she is in a brand new yellow and blue bikini, stretched out on a deck chair and positioned right under some of the sun lamps. She wants nothing more than to tan a LOT.

[Francis comes over after a moment, still a little wet from being in the pool.]

Mind if I join you?

[Jubilee doesn't even move her sunglasses. Merely smiles and waves at a seat.]

Pull up a chair, Francis. Enjoying the pool?

[He sits down next to her, a broad smile forming on his lips. He seems to be in a much better mood than when he first came down, because he starts teasing.] Mm, I'm enjoying the view much more.

For some reason Tommy took a long time to finally even approach the pool area. He had been up for awhile, but had no interest in swimming or getting wet. But he's run out of things to look on his NV.

So now he's crouching over the water suspiciously. He doesn't like swimming. You can't run in water. That's impossible. And kicking isn't the same as running. So here he is staring at the edge of the pool like it might eat him. Or it offended him somehow.

"Why is swimming so popular? I guess it's cool." Well, okay. He was excited because, pools are cool, but now he suddenly doesn't want in? Way to not make sense Tommy.

"You could always run back and forth over over the surface." He wasn't kidding - Pietro had had to practice that one to master it. And he could only imagine how boring an island this size of this one was to a speedster.

"Is this a trick to get me into the water? This is definitely a trick to get me into the water." He's onto you! But, god, he's tempted to try it now too. Running over water? That sounds pretty cool. Cooler then flying. But running really fast was totally cooler then flying already. At least that's what he thinks.

"Do you know how to swim?" Even more important on an island.

It had been enjoyable really, watching Pietro run around Genosha, literally, and not even getting wet.

[Raven's wearing her leotard without the cloak-- it just wouldn't be appropriate, even though she'd rather wear it-- and resolutely reading, reclined in a deck chair.

She's not very focused on it, though, and is clearly kind of drifting off and just relaxing.]
