Who: makes_asteroids and alwaysfindsyou When: After Sirens until they go in Where: House of Awesome rooftop Summary: Mags and Billy have some bonding time. Warnings: Probably not.
There was some article about the moon in the paper, so Billy figured why not go up to the roof and see what all the fuss was about if the monsters were going to not be as aggressive tonight.
He hadn't really thought to bring anything, and lying on the roof was starting to make his back kind of hurt. When he was just about to shift into a different position, Magneto landed next to him. No, not Magneto. Michael was what they called him here and Billy was starting to think of him less as just simply Magneto, former bad guy, and more so as a person who just wanted to start over again.
"... Hey," Billy said, waving a hand a little bit in greeting. "Didn't think I'd see anyone else up here."
"Eh. I'm a bit of a space geek. Lorna is too." Erik passed one of the thick, heavy blankets over to Billy and rolled out his own. He looked over the sky for a moment, studying. The moon being closer gave him a better look at it than he had from normally from Earth, and it changed things in such small ways many would have missed them. For a moment, Erik looked at peace.
"Not so much a space geek as much as a geek of the stories about it. Mythology and stuff like that," he confessed, taking the blanket with a quiet 'thanks'. After rolling it out and sitting down on it, Billy noted that it was much more comfortable now. "Although it's still cool to see what's up there through a telescope," he added.
"We've walked on it, your mother and I. You have a cousin who lives there, at least in our world." Erik squatted down on his heels, rolling back onto his blanket with a slight thump, an easy grace to his movements.
"But she's always beautiful. Perhaps we could go, when we all go home?" Assuming they remembered this place. Assuming they got home. Assuming his grandson wanted to go. And wanted to go with him. Assuming a lot of things.
"You study mythology?" Erik hadn't - he'd been too science orientated, but that didn't mean he wasn't interested. More so, with two family members who had magical abilities.
