Erik shouldered the backpack and shifted the bundle in his arms before lifting up and pushing the roof hatch open. He landed lightly and looked over to Billy. He'd known the boy was up here, that's why he'd packed some food and a couple Thermoses and grabbed a few blankets and headed up. Between everything, he hadn't had a lot of time to check on him since he was injured and he was feeling guilty. But also, he wanted to get to know his grandson.
