[Larry's snack stand shift was over for the day, so you might see him around the mall picking up some stuff before heading home. Basic needs like clothes, and possibly a treat for his kitten. And new art materials. It's almost as if he has more luck with his being a freelance artist than working at the stand in the bowling alley.]

[Larry stops in his tracks. What was that just now? Did something...poke him or something? But it was a different, odd kind of poke...]

[ And beside him, Yako wobbles, bumping into him and grabbing onto his arm. That is definitely not a poke. ]

I-- I'm sorry! [ Just as quickly, she lets him go, shaking her head to clear her blurred vision. ]

[When Yako grabs his arm, he feels that same jolt again and flinches, but doesn't jump away or anything like that. Weird.]

It's okay...um... [He wonders if he should mention that.]

[ This time, when the dizziness hits, Yako forces herself to keep her feet. Well, she's not going to be grabbing on to Larry again in a hurry. She smiles weakly, shaking her head: ]

I think I'm-- uh-- just going to sit down for a sec, if that's okay. [ Sheepish. ] I'd still like a burger, though. Here-- [ And she rummages in her pocket for the money. ]

...Y-Yako? [Okay, he was feeling fine now, but Yako didn't look so hot.] Is something wrong? Was it something I did?

I'm fine! [ A little too quickly to be convincing, and even she knows that. ] I guess I just feel tired all of a sudden-- work and school catching up to me, I guess?

Maybe we can make it the 16th?

You sure you're okay? [He looks over her worriedly.]

[ She twists her hands together in front of her, looking awkward, but she manages to offer him a grin. ]

Yes-- I'm fine. I'm heading home after I get a bite to eat, anyway, so-- [ And man, does she feel like she needs to sleep for a week. She looks at Larry with sudden worry. ] You don't feel weird or anything, do you?

Yaaaaay~ I just gotta do something with the Butz.

[He blinks. How should he put this...?]

Hey...uh, do you have a superpower or something?

[ She jerks at that, but promptly looks sheepish afterwards, nodding. ]

Yeah, I think so. I don't really understand how it works yet, but it looks like it happens if I touch people. [ She looks at him anxiously. ]

...D-Does that mean something's gonna happen to me?! [Nothing personal, Yako, the Butz is not used to this kind of thing. So he'll just glance at his hands, feel his head, glance around nervously...]

[ Don't worry, man, she looks just as freaked out at the possibility. ]

I hope not! Um, do you know what your powers are?

... [He calms down at last to think about that.]

I have no clue...not at all!

[ ... Well, that isn't helpful. ]

Well-- okay.

Um, it looks like my power has something to do with messing up other people's, so... [ She looks really, really sorry. ] I hope ... it doesn't mess up yours.

No, I don't think it will, it's okay! [Larry vigorously shakes his head and his hands - two gestures that will hopefully send the message, "NO IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT."]
