It's time for the birthday boy to arrive! Find a place to hide and wait for the big reveal.

Rikku decided that her hiding place would be right next to the door. Just so when he came home, she could jump out and hug Ishida. It was his birthday, after all. He needed as many hugs as he could get. Barely able to contain her excitement, she had to put a hand over her mouth to keep from giggling.

[Hanatarou walks in with three dozen cupcakes, each dozen in a plastic box. On top of the box is a note that says, "Sorry that I bought you these, Ishida-san... I tried to make a couple but that didn't go too well. Happy birthday! From, Hanatarou."

For the most part, he was able to get the cake mix off his clothes, but there was still some green goop in his hair that he had missed. Tired and about ready to collapse, Hanatarou places the cupcakes on the snack table and then promptly falls down under it. It doesn't really occur to him that he can be seen.]

[Keigo eventually notices Hanatarou under the table. He looks more like someone injured than someone hiding. He pokes him with a toe.]

Are you all right down there?

Snacks!

The snack table is the place to be.

Although Keigo mainly bought lots of bags of cheap chips, pretzels and cookies, Minato has taken care of cooking some real food, Rikku was in charge of the cake and Hanatarou has promised lots of cupcakes. There is Kool-Aid for everyone, although you should keep your paper cups at hand because he probably didn't buy enough. Hopefully, other guests also heed Keigo's frantic call for food.

Pesche Guatiche / Open?

No, Pesche did not heed the frantic call for food. And anyway, his kind of food wasn't the kind of food that everyone else would enjoy eating - well, unless Keigo had invited other Hollows to the party. Ooh, or cannibals. He wondered if there were going to be any cannibal humans at this party as he picked up a handful of pretzel sticks and lifted the flap of his camera-bag, sliding a few of the sticks into it.

Crunch Crunch Crunch! said Uryuu's gift, a tiny whiskered snout sticking out of the main compartment of his bag. Pesche pushed down on it after giving it some more of the pretzel sticks, then looked around. Now, where was Uryuu? His gift was hungry!

And Pesche didn't want the few valuables he kept inside his camera bag to get eaten!

Keigo was looking around the room, trying to think of what a party planner was supposed to do after the party started and pretty much coming up blank, when he saw...well, he saw Pesche, but he also saw a snack thief, slipping pretzels into his bag!

He ran over to the food table to defend it. "I didn't buy those for you to take home with you!" He had to pick up a lot of dirty plates to make the money he had spent on pretzels, even if he did buy the cheapest ones in the store.

Pesche leaned back as Keigo ran up to protect the pretzels, shouting at him. He slipped a few more into the pouch for the gift to eat. then brushed his hands free of pretzel-crumbs and salt.

"I'm not taking them home, Loudmouth-san!" He shook his head. "What would I do with them? Build a tiny corral?" That was actually kind of an amusing idea. He'd save it for later. If Asano-or-Keigo was this worked up about less than a handful of pretzels, what would he think if Pesche took them all to build tiny bug-corrals wherever he happened to be staying the night? He'd probably never shut up!

"They're being eaten! Here! That's what they're for, right?"

Keigo has set up a table for gifts. There's a cloth over the table that the observant may realize is a bedsheet. Don't worry - it's clean. At least, Keigo is pretty sure it's clean.

Anonymous gift from Jubilee

In a large, bright blue box with a big yellow ribbon on top is a helmet with a matching scarf and leather riding gloves. Scribbled on a homemade card in Rikku's horrible handwriting is "&hearts Happy Birthday! This is only half your gift. &hearts"

Minako's gotten Ishida the sewing machine from this news article, and plenty of extra fabric. She's also gotten him an extra sewing kit should he need anything extra. There's a little note there with a simple "Happy Birthday, Ishida-san!" and a little...chibi Minako holding up a present. It's not an amazing drawing by any means but it gets the point across.

Bathroom!

When scary people arrive, what do the brave amongst us do? They hide in the bathroom, that's what!

Or maybe you want to have some sort of rendezvous. It is a pretty swanky setup.

For the love of god, let's just not have any peeing action logs, please.

[sitting on the couch, watching his guests with a quiet happiness. Hm, he should really try to yell at Keigo less. It's obvious Asano-san tries, even if he is something of a clown sometimes...]

[clearly Uryuu needs to be bothered away from his thoughts and into some socializing]

[Minako finally comes out of the kitchen after...attempting to clean up the dishes she'd dirtied in making food for everyone, glad to see everyone's enjoying the party. That is, until she catches sight of Ishida sitting there alone.

She quickly heads over.]

Hey, what are you doing all the way over here?

Absolutely!

[a surprised blink - oh, Minako. Uryuu looks up almost sheepishly] Ah, I was just resting. There's a lot going on here, isn't there?

...I heard you helped make the food?

[foretells]

[Just taking a rest? She glances at the party and, instead of asking questions, she nods and smiles wider.] Yeah, it's a pretty big get-together. You're very popular, Ishida-san.

[Another nod.] Mmhm. Asano-san said that he had no idea what to do for food besides snacks so I thought I could cook a little for you. I hope it wasn't too bad because it was rushed!
