Maya was pretty relieved to reach the apartment. This sector was creeping her out, truth be told. It didn't help that her usual spirit medium garb had attracted some attention. She was used to that kind of thing (since people who weren't familiar with Kurain found her outfit weird) but some of the looks she had gotten on her way, well ( ... )

Nagi only lived here because his job with AGI meant that living in their territory came with certain fringe benefits he'd be foolish to ignore. That and it was close to his work if something else like the riots came up and he needed to get there in a hurry. The fact that it was fairly large for a single person might have seemed creepy or odd, but he liked his space now that he could afford it without trouble.

He put the rat away when he heard the knock, but didn't bother getting up to open the door. Instead, he used a flicker of power to turn the doorknob and pull it open. "Thank you for coming over."

The door... came open by itself? Maya was a little spooked by that, but didn't know what to make of it.

"Ah! N-No problem. I'm hoping my powers are still okay."

She took a quick look around, "You said you had a spare room, right?"

That would work. Somewhere secluded. Not that she expected anything bad to happen (it sounded like the he was close to the person he wanted her to channel)... but even still.

"Oh!" She just realized she never told him his name. "I'm Maya Fey. Nice to meet you."

It was just a small display of his power, not ghosts or whatever she was thinking. Nagi privately thought that stories of poltergeists were really just untrained telekinetics who hadn't figured out their powers yet.

"We'll have to see." He hoped they did, for more than one reason, but he didn't let his voice waver even as he thought about maybe talking to Tot long enough to apologize for failing to save her.

Nagi stood up and nodded as he walked closer. The only problem with his apartment was the way the front door led people right into the kitchen instead of a living room. "The spare room only has a futon mattress in it." There was nothing to break or use as a weapon.

Out of habit, he nodded his head rather than offer his hand. He wasn't polite enough to actually bow. "Nagi Naoe. Have you been here long?"

[OOC: I made a rough markup of where things in the apartment are laid out - here in his journal.]

Mamoru sat for the entire meeting, unobtrusive as a portrait on the wall. It seemed wrong in a sense to be present through such an intimate meeting, and respectfully turned his eyes. He heard everything, however, and felt his respect for Tot rise as she insisted that Nagi apologize to Ken. When her voice disappeared, he chanced a somber look in Nagi's direction, saying not a word.

Once she was gone, he turned towards Mamoru, but stayed quiet for a moment. What was there to say? They knew that Maya's power worked on someone who'd died in the city, which could be useful at some point in the future, and he'd learned just how wrong he'd been.

"You were right about him helping, it seems," he finally said.

"It does seem that way," Mamoru agreed, uninterested in rubbing in the fact with further comment.

"Was it helpful to see her?"

He'd keep that promise to apologize, although it would be a very awkward moment when it happened.

"It was nice to see her again and learn the full story."
