[Liquid, in truth, hadn't even bothered to notice there was a bar in Siren's Port. It wasn't something that held his interest. If he had to admit it, he was probably the most antisocial of the three of them. It took a special person to convince him to spend time with them, or orders.

He'd only agreed to this to stop his father from bugging him - especially once he became aware of the future Master Miller's involvement. There was someone who rubbed him up the wrong way - mostly out of his paranoia that the man was going to find out he kills him and decide to change their fate prematurely. Via a slow-acting poison. Dying didn't frighten Liquid. Helplessness did. If he died, he at least wanted to go out fighting.

He bristled at the casual touch, shooting his father a look at that would have killed if looks were able to. He buried his face in his hand, shaking his head.]

I told you, I don't drink.

[Everything about this place threw him off. The sheer number of people there, the fact they were at an actual bar - the fact that Master ( ... )

Don't be a stick in the mud. One glass isn't going to hurt.

[it's not like Kaz is very happy with the seating arrangements either but as with everything that gets under his skin, he hides it. whether or not he's doing a good job is debatable; without his glasses to mask the most expressive part of his face, his emotions are pretty easy to read right now. his irritation is only mild and subdued at that, and most of it is directed at seeing his precious glasses on Big Boss' face. granted, it covers up that freaky slitted eye but it leaves his own unconcealed and visible to everyone ( ... )

I haven't had some sake in a long time - just cheap stuff. Good idea.

[Yep, he simple ignored what Liquid had just said and ordered Sake for all three of them while adjusting his, well, Kaz's glasses. He's not used to wearing any glasses at all so it's weird, and he doesn't appreciate how it makes his sight darker again, but his new sight compensates for that. Natural night vision does have its benefits, after all. Speaking of,]

Also, for the last time, I'm not a zombie, vampire, demon, possessed by one or any other such occultist mumbo-jumbo. My eye's fine the way it is. Besides, it's not like I know what to do about it anyway, I'm just glad I don't have to be blind. [Though he was very willing to, but Shijima forced the eye on him. Sigh, little girls and their crushes on BB.]

[Bitch, bitch, bitch, at least you have an eye now.]

[Sometimes, he really hated them both. Part of him was certain he'd need the alcohol just to put up with the two of them.]

I am not the type of person who enjoys this type of situation, Master, so excuse me for being irritable!

[He snapped the words intentionally quietly, trying to keep on the downlow for once. As attention-seeking as he usually was, this was not his type of scene. He turned his attention to the man on the other side of him, resting his head on one hand.]

How splendid to hear, Father.

[thoughtfully] We could always try contacts. It won't do a thing for the pupil itself or the glow, but at least it'll hide the yellow.

[all Liquid gets for his snippy comment is a frown and a brow quirk. he's gotten used to being called by that silly nickname, and in any other case it would sound quite cool, but Liquid makes it a point to say it with barely restrained sarcasm. Kaz can't say that he really appreciates that. all the more reason to get him smashed tonight; maybe he'll be nice to have around if he's too drunk to walk in a straight line.]

What situation? A birthday only comes once a year. C'mon. [playfully, he punches him lightly in the arm.] You act like you've never had any fun before.
