This night was being certain not to make sense.
Someone had heard Youji's less than perfectly sane laughter in the baseball diamond, force-fed him a sandwich and black coffee, and called him stupid when he refused to sleep in the dugout with another guy, or even to take lodging at these 'starter' apartments.
'Monsters,' of course. About the only thing Youji had believed was that this wasn't Koua Academy's School-City.
Upon reflection, however, the monster by itself didn't really dispel that. Tsujii and Eszett had plenty of bio-engineered super humans, who was to say they couldn't go the Masafumi Takatori route and take it up a notch?
And speaking of things Youji hadn't believed--the small electronic tumbling out of his coat pocket as he dodged what would have been a killing blow?
That must have been the 'NV.'
