I've always wanted to meet a talking skeleton. implausibility July 27 2010, 19:43:32 UTC
It wasn't uncommon for an idler's morning to be filled with this sort of pointless wandering. While his new job hadn't quite started up yet, Adachi had figured that he might as well make the best of his few remaining days in employment limbo. This store was just one of many on the road (one of the few actually open, and one of the few not broken down and ransacked by whatever it is that crawled around in the dark). He had a hand on the doorknob and had half-pulled it open when the words, "Whole panties thing" just happened to drift through the space.

He stopped, frowned, even took a step back out onto the front step to look up at the name of the store hanging above the windows. 'Brooke's Musical Emporium,' it read. Not 'Brooke's Lingerie Extravaganza.' Turning to look back inside, he chanced a call-out of his own. "...Hello? Anybody home?"

The skeleton bard hears the sound of a customer asking for assistance by the door and dashes off as fast as his bones could take him. Which because of the lack of weight was almost instantaneous.

"Can I help you good sir?" The skeleton asked as he casually sipped a cup of tea, practically showing up out of nowhere.

The tea was lost on him, as was the obvious phenomenal taste in fashion, considering all Adachi did when he saw the skeleton was let go of the door and stumble back (surprisingly fast for a stumble) into the nearest shelf, pressing up against it as if trying to climb it up and out of the way. "Wh-auuuuuuugh?!"

The skeleton watched the man back into his shelf in concern hoping that none of his merchandise got damaged. He merely smiled though and said, "Ah, where are my manners? Allow me to introduce myself my good man. My name is Brooke the bard, the owner of Brooke's musical Emporium. Might I interest you in my musical supplies, or perhaps my tea corner?"

It was still early enough in the afternoon that Mitsuru didn't feel like she had been waiting that long before making her way over to the store. Of course, she did have Sunday off, but it was still the principle of the thing. She had said in the afternoon, and she would arrive in the afternoon.

Of course she did have second doubts about coming at all, what with the first conversation she had. He had the gall to ask her to...she shook her head, ignoring it. That was then, this was now. Beside, she could always kick his ass in this match to make up for it. She pushed open the door and looked inside.

"Hello? Anyone here?" She walked inside, her heels clacking against the floor.

Sorry for being late, I'm still on Slowaitus >_< tapdancinskelly July 29 2010, 03:28:15 UTC
The skeleton walked down the rows of musical supplies towards the sound of clacking heels and a female voice. She was decently punctual which Brooke found to be an admirable trait, and as he walked towards her he held a cup of tea that he was sipping idly.

"Welcome to my humble establishment my lady, it's an honor to have you here today. To be straight to the point, I have set up a dueling circle in the back for our match, and if you'd like we could have a luncheon at my tea corner. What would you like to do?" Brooke asked with a bow holding his cup in such a way that it wouldn't spill.

There was knowing that he was a skeleton and another to actually see that in person. Of course, her first instinct was to bring out her evoker and battle a shadow, but she was able to overcome that urge and merely kept her hands to her sides and smiled

"Thank you for inviting me. Perhaps we should just get right to business. I haven't had a chance to warm up, but I believe I'm still ready and able," She said, folding her arms across her chest and tilting her head slightly.

Brooke shrugged and said, "Suit yourself then, If you will please follow me to the back room?" The skeleton stopped leaning against the wall with his tea, and straightened himself out to his full height of 8'5. He waved his hand in a follow me sort of fashion and headed towards the back of his store. Behind a door the skeleton stepped through, ducking his head to actually make it through the door, there was a kitchen which was sparkling clean, and had various coffee makers and kettles. Through the next door was a hallway with a stair case off to the left, which had a crystal chandelier hanging above it. In front of this staircase was another door which the skeleton stepped through, and turned on a light, to reveal a rather large storage space, but off to the right there was a stage where two sword racks were placed ( ... )
