During bad headaches, the head is already throbbing, so setting it in a position where the blood flow won't be direct is just dizzying. For me.

Pills and booze don't go along very well, and it might end in you feeling worse than before or in extreme cases, dead; unless you're not planning to drink at all. People would probably tell you the only sensible cure for a headache is to get trashed yourself -- it won't go away, but at least you'll be too drunk to really think about it. Gotta deal with the hangover afterwards, though. It's a matter of deciding which is the least evil of the two.
