[Jubilee is out on the streets, looking for a friend. She has to respond though and does it with a grin.]

Just can't leave the school behind, huh Professor?

The Mothers thing? Honestly, they're kinda tame. But then, ya know, Bastion, the FoH... My perspective's a bit skewed.

I'm totally not going to be Scooter for the newcomer kids though. You can't make me. [She sticks her tongue out at the Professor, playfully. Hey look, Jubilee's personality is almost back!]

...

I suppose my fear is the larger scale of what they stand for, and the mere idea that anyone would deny anything to children just...rips my heart out.

[Yeah so you can take it away and destroy her again *glares at* >_> ]

[He sighs and manages a rough smile.] No one was going to force you.

I see you saw the news this morning.

I have floor plans on my desk, to use the "common areas" of the new building as classrooms, if needed.

Thank you. I wouldn't have pressed it, otherwise. But...I cannot allow this insanity.

I cannot think of another appropriate course of action.

It's something I was think of before you aware.

And I can thing of a few others, but they involve sending Newcomer children to schools with armed guards.

[He rubs his temple and sighs...not that anyone can see the motion.]

Why does this follow us everywhere.

Some may like the idea, especially if they arrive here alone.

[Much like she had.]

Maybe you should consult with the the people who run the Newcomer Fund? I bet they would be willing to help.

If the part about it being especially for newcomers was removed, I'd agree, yoi. It might be for a good cause, but others would simply see it as newcomers agreeing with this idea of segregation.

My thought was more safety than segregation. Of course, anyone would be allowed. We'd do a bit of a security screening on both sides, of course.

[Thinking we might need a space outside the apartments being build for this school, depending how this goes...

That sounds more like a good idea. Safety's a good thing for children to have if they aren't capable of protecting themselves, yoi.

[If he had any spare cash, he'd totally donate to the cause. He likes kids.]

For now I am thinking I can offer a safe place for children to come and stay, and learn, and train their powers, and the like, in their free-time and whenever they do not feel safe.

Yes. But that might also make it a target.

[He actually laughs at this.]

My dear, you must get to know me and my friends. We ran a school for mutants back home, in a world of hatred-consumed humans without powers.

But this time, the others have powers.
