|Action| ☇ #01: The Arrival

Feb 06, 2011 17:28

[At about 4pm, there will be an alarmed hawk appearing smack-dab in the middle of the baseball diamond. Said hawk has to make a miraculous save in order not to collide with the nearest building, and he doesn't look too happy about it either ( Read more... )

[Perched on a lightpost by the diamond is a single winged angel, playing his guitar and seeming off in his only little world until the voice speaks in his head.]

Oh, hello. This is new.

[Tobias is confused too. It's not unlike the Ellimist to appear in different forms, but this one was different.

But he's a little on edge with what happened the day before-- that and this place he's landed in doesn't seem to be an Ellimist type place. But then again, weirder things have happened. He shouldn't have spoken out loud in the first place.

Rather then respond he's going to circle overhead. Whatever this was, he wanted to be in the sky for it.]

[Raphael looks up at the circling hawk, seeming collected in spite of the unexpected voice. After all, there are all kinds here.]

Was it you, then? I don't see anyone else around.

[There's still the possibility this boy could be a controller, but the fact that he has one wing... it's more an Ellimist thing.

And he wanted answers.]

< There's no one else around for miles. > [That he could be sure of, he could see much better than humans after all.]

< Where have you taken me this time? >

[She happens to be passing by the stadium while running errands and sees the hawk flying above her. Surprised, she blurts out her first thought. Could it really be her old friend??]

Pell?!

[Tobias just kind of stares at her, flying over head. He wasn't sure who Pell was, but she was talking to him.

Though he's not going to respond right away, he will be following her.]

[She shades her face from the sun and follows the bird with her eyes. There's no way it could be Pell, could it? He was back in Alabasta with her father. But the others were here, why couldn't he be?

But no... if it was Pell, he would have spotted her instantly. And besides, there could be other birds like Pell's bird form in this world. Nut the hawk certainly wasn't acting very birdlike... Could there be others with powers like his?

She works this out in her head as she walks. Noticing that he's following her she makes up her mind, turns and waves a hand to the hawk high above her.]

[He flutters down to a nearby lightpost and cocks his head.

Should he respond back to her? That would be a terribly stupid idea, but he hasn't found out much about this place yet. All his choices right now weren't great ones.]

Oh, a hawk?

Hm... haven't seen a hawk in a while...

[Assuming this is after someone fills him on this whole system here, the response will be voice.]

< You're a talking dog. > [It's kind of an instinctual reply, because this dog is obviously not one of the animorphs. And no one else can morph except Andalites. And that wasn't a very Andalite like question.]

Err, wolf, actually. Just a normal wolf.

Are you just a normal hawk?

[Kisame swings by the field every couple of days out of habit, just because that's where the entrance to the Core is. The sudden hawk only really earns a raised eyebrow, and the speaking hardly phases him at all. Just a pause and a head-shake, really.]

I'd say you were a summon but... New arrival is more likely, eh?

[Well trying to fly out of Siren's Port didn't really work. As as soon as he started to feel the effects, Tobias turned around. But he quickly found out that there's no real place for him to go except in this city. And he's quite frustrated, so maybe that's why he bothers to respond, even though he knows he shouldn't.]

< A summon?

Yes I'm "new". > [He sounds obviously annoyed.]

ooc- sorry for the late, mondays are horrendous for me =[.

Yes, summons. Animals that you sign a contract with; you can summon them to your side for aid.

Welcome to Siren's Port then, newcomer. You'll be given an apartment over there, though I'm not sure you'll find it comfortable.

[He gestures to the apartments with a grin]

< Like a video game. Right. > [He's more than incredulous at this point, and has almost gotten to the point where he's not caring that he's speaking to people. Or humanoids, or whatever.]

< So I've heard.

I don't think I need an apartment. I just need to get out of here. >

[ He's really just passing by, in the vicinity so that he can get from point A to point B; patrolling, just talking a walk. Both. Simple exercise.

He stops cold when he hears those words ringing in his head. Gaze landing on the hawk, his head tilts a fraction. Neither the words in his head nor an animal speaking is unusual for him, though... it's been a while.

But alright, then. Answering in telepathy:

Hello. ]

[ That startles him a bit. While he's no stranger to thoughtspeak, humans shouldn't be able to do it unless they're in morph.]

< You can--!

Who are you? >

[ This. He'd rather missed this - communication by telepathy back and forth with someone (something). Take a careful step forward to the hawk.

My name is Jomy. And you? Do you have a name? ]

< My name doesn't matter. > [Still not feeling all warm and fuzzy, and not suspicious about this place. He makes no move to fly away though, and even lands on a nearby lightpost]

< How are you talking to me like this? > [Not that he thinks Jomy will tell the truth, but he doesn't know how else to get to the bottom of this whole mess.]
