[He glances over, turning his head slowly so the cat doesn't fall.]

Nothing short of being chained down with unbreakable chains is going to stop him. I'd rather he not get himself killed in the process, if the Core does turn out to emit radiation on an instantly fatal level.

[And a suggestion. Wouldn't put it past the kid to try lining his clothes with lead if he thought it would get what he wants.]

It does. Or close enough. Even dangerous to someone with a natural resistance to that sort of thing, apparently.

He doesn't seem to care too much about the risks. I never thought I'd meet someone so reckless. Even I'm not about to take a chance like that. While it's true his body is unnaturally capable, it could still affect him adversely.

People want to know why they happened. Some people are just worried about what caused them, I suppose.

No, and nor do I particularly care. I'm no scientist, but it appeared to be an entirely natural phenomenon.

They're just lights. Beautiful, but impractical. Nothing special at all. I saw similar things in the past; they are hardly a thing to lose your head over.
