The mask on her head is still visible, but the calm smile on her face contrasts with that aspect of her appearance.Hello. I am curious about individual cultures and societies people have come from. I see. Things are very different from my world here. I suppose it wasn't as difficult to adapt, then?

You had the same people as the people here? Or just the same personality types?

It's similar in the time period-- but it's halfway across the damn globe. There ain't a lot culturally that's close.

The food ain't bad, though, but it ain't the same.

Is it somewhere that would still be in this world?

It's similar enough. People are people no matter where you put them -- I just suppose here it's even easier for them to want to and try to kill each other.

But the culture, the food, and other things like that are similar?

I think some of the problem may be that people are unable to escape from here and go elsewhere...and there seems to be a disproportionate amount of people with some sort of special ability here.

Yes; and as you can imagine, the abilities make the capture and conviction of criminals a trying task indeed.

As for the culture and food -- they're similar enough. I've spent enough time in the United States back home, albeit a decade into the future.

Are you involved in law enforcement, then?

It must be strange being pulled back in time.

Siren's Port's kind of the same to a lot of cities in my world -- minus the monsters and all. But granted, this is Canada.

According to the Discovery Channel and the news, there does not seem to be any monsters reported in other Canadian cities.

Depends on the world, really. Canada's more relaxed compared to most countries though.

Wouldn't the presence of dangerous monsters make this place less relaxed?

[Ooh, an exchange of cultures! Vivi's excited!]

Siren's Port is very different from my home. My home, Alabasta, is a desert for one thing. It's a beautiful land with massive plains of sand covering ruins older than recorded history itself. It can be very difficult to live there but the people are wonderful and strong. [She thinks for a moment.]

I come from a very different world, though. There are pirates and devil fruit users everywhere. There are people with abilities here as well but they're different than the ones back home.

I suppose the hardest thing to get used to here is the cold... Like I said, I come from a desert. The heat is what I know. My friends have helped me adapt...but I miss the sun...

Ah! I'm sorry! I shouldn't ramble so much! What is your home like? I love hearing about other people and other lands!

[Her enthusiasm is enough to make Nelliel smile.]

My home, Hueco Mundo, was a desert as well. But it was always night, there. There was artificial sunlight created within the dome of Las Noches - a massive castle our leader created. Las Noches itself went for miles.
