I don't really know much about death. I know it's possible to erase someone from the present by destroying their past, though. I'm not sure if that makes them dead or not.
If you destroy their past, they will disappear in the present. You don't even have to kill them - just erase the memories of everyone who remembers them. It's really horrible.
