Souls in my world can be cursed or corrupted. A cursed or corrupted soul can change a person entirely.

[She pauses for a moment, wondering if she should cite an example, but she'll leave it out for now since the only example she really knows of is herself and her father.]

As for demons, there are many of them. They are different all over the world. It is hard to give them an exact definition. But they are definitely monstrous.

Yes. And yes. Often, demons would attack people. But so would those with corrupted souls.

They do it because they have no other choice. It is but a means of survival.

As for demons eating people... they sometimes can. Those with corrupted souls, too. But it often depends on how they were corrupted in the first place. They are usually cursed.

A corrupted soul is cursed to live a life of deprivation of some sort. They are usually cursed by coming in contact with the Evil Sword or the Evil Seed in my world.
