You're in a city called Siren's Port.
It sort of sucks people in, from different worlds, different places...even different times. Because we've all got special powers, supposedly...sometimes powers we don't even know we've got yet.
There's a darkness here that happens at night, after the sirens- that's when the monsters come out, and it's more dangerous.
There's no way of leaving the island without the pull dragging you back.
