[ Those who have seen Light before should notice the difference in him. First he's older, the childish softness has gone from his face, and his eyes are perhaps a little colder. Since arriving here a few days ago, riddled with bullets from his grand finale, he's had time to peruse the network and think. Finally feeling strong enough, and having ( Read more... )

Yagami, Edgeworth. From the Japanese for 'Night' and 'God' respectively.

Identify the first time you came into my domicile.

[though the only accompanying image you get for that voice is the sexy pangaea skull. he's probably gonna get otacon to hack all of your private conversations too?]

Five years, and you still talk just as much. Did your torrents of meaningless words ever get you anywhere?

My torrents of 'meaningless words' decreased world crime by 70%, and brought world peace; I'd say that was some kind of achievement, wouldn't you?

It's nice to hear your voice again, Jack. I ought to thank you.

[unfazed, he's snorting a laugh] World peace thanks to a notebook. Quite impressive. Too bad your approach has never quite appealed to me. A little too pretentious, for my taste.

Wish I could say the same.

It is what it is, Jack. I achieved everything I wanted, very few people can say that.

You gave me a chance to go home; to grow and learn. I'm grateful for that, which is exactly why I'm speaking out instead of hiding. A man who isn't dead wasn't killed. We do things differently, you and I.

You died here, and it sent you home? Hm.

I wouldn't recommend it. Some of the people who've died here don't come back, and if you're about to die at home... There are some people here I know from experience don't have much going for them if they get sent back, people brought here from the week before their own deaths. Really, it's best not to, whatever the circumstances.

Please, don't insult my intelligence. Even if it were a foolproof way of being sent back, one person's word wouldn't be anywhere near enough to prove it.

It simply raises some interesting questions.

I wouldn't think to. When I say so I express my concern for more than just you--there may be someone amongst those here who would try it just to see.

Is there anything you'd like to know?

Died and then went home? When it happened to me, I just woke up at home, so to speak.

I guess I should say welcome back? Umm. Looks like you had a rough time of it at home. Sorry.

Like waking from a dream. It felt like one when I came back...sort of like walking through some childhood fantasy.

Oh, my shirt? Yeah--thanks to this earthquake free clothes and things are pretty thin.

Yeah. Things are gettin' back into normalcy, I think.

If you need anything, though, don't hesitate to ask. I don't mind helpin' peeps out.

Something that's not soaked in blood would be ideal, if there's any chance you have anything lying around -- at this point I don't care if it's pink, or too small, you get weird looks walking around in shot up clothes.

Children grow up, during five years' time, maybe. [prickly, rather than teasing. she's still sore over ghosts.]

Children do, yes. Things change, scars fade and you get new ones. You haven't changed a bit, I see.

I rarely change.

Light-kun, I liked your voice better when it was more baby-like.

I'm afraid I can't change it back--I don't really recall it changing at all, but I suppose it must. I hope I wasn't too badly missed.

May I ask you a question about that day?
