I'm not sure if I did you a favor with that. I went home too while I was dead -- I still don't know how to feel about it, but there you go. I'm sure you've been back for longer than that and thinking your next steps over -- go ahead and tell them it was me. Maybe the two of us even get to share a prison cell, I'm sure Edgeworth would be thrilled about that.

Money is always an option, though if you really want to settle this matter, you should find a way to get the police off my back so I can stop hiding. No--you command, you don't manipulate. It's out in the open with you, and they love you, right? Snake and Ocelot - especially Ocelot - they'd do anything for you, but you wouldn't call it 'manipulation'.
