I would ask that everyone here attempt to recall the precise date they arrived. It's clear enough we arrive in waves; think, if you will, if there are any similarities amongst you. It's possible we've been searching for larger patterns when in fact smaller ones persist.

[Slight pause.] To those new arrivals to whom I've not yet spoken, I advise ( Read more... )

Eighteenth of March. Japanese, then Chinese, and bits and pieces of other languages. I am, of course, an Earth thing.

I'm participating.

I...do appreciate that. What other languages?

I'd picked up little things about Dutch and Russian, and English too of course.

Merely in the course of your travels?

March Fifteenth was when Joe and I arrived.

Simultaneously.

Yeah. We look the same, haven't you noticed?

I have. Yet those of acquaintance have not always arrived simultaneously.

Forwards and backwards in time, bridging worlds, multiple realities, perhaps even reaching beyond death...

This 'Pull' truly is something of spectacular power.

We've spoken not long ago, but as for the precise time of my arrival, it was 15:32:07 hours, On May 27th in the year 2010 AD.

In Romdeau we spoke the language best preserved from the first generation, English, most other preserved texts are available in translation, although those of us who take interest may also be versed in other written languages...Germanic forms, Latin and some which share similar root- I can read those much better than I would know how to pronounce them.

You've become convinced, then, of the truth of the possibility of being brought here through time, then? Through worlds?

Truth and possibility are two distinct things, but I am open to the possibility that we were brought here by some means, currently inexplicable beyond this 'Pull'.

Whether or not that is the truth, that is something to be embraced with time and more factual evidence.

Well said. Was the form of English you spoke identical to the one you use now, to your knowledge?

Um, February. The... I think it was the fourteenth? It was a bit before sirens.

And I speak Hylian - and, I suppose, now English. And I suppose I'm from another world! I had never heard of 'Earth' before I got here.

((OOC: Teeeeechnically still on hiatus, but I'm coming off on Tuesday (my Wednesday), so eh. Replies will be slow.))

Could you perhaps write down a few words of Hylian for me? Preferably a complete sentence.

Okay! Let's see...

[Insert a few sentences in Zelda's version of Hylian here.]

It means, 'In the beginning, the people followed the Spirits of Good, and all was peaceful. But that era of peace soon came to an end. The evil Demon King rose to power, destroying everything in his path. The spirits of good had no choice but to face him in battle.'

It's part of the story about the war between the Spirits of Good and the Demon King - I can write out the rest, if you want!

That would be useful. Useful, likewise, if you could transcribe it into English script.

I arrived on the morning of May the 22nd, from Earth. The languages I speak include German, English, French and Latin.

How was your English before you came?

[text] wonderfulname May 30 2010, 22:31:38 UTC
Fluent. I was fortunate enough to have a very good tutor; luckily, I've never had trouble communicating with native speakers.

Is it more natural to speak in English now, or do you discern no difference?
