Why would you? You didn't even know what they were like.

I left because...

There were things the Organization wasn't telling me about who I am, or why I even exist. They were never going to tell me-not even Axel. But I had to know, so I left to find out for myself.

I understand because one can never leave such a thing altogether behind. I do not know them, no, but if they were so vital to your identity, then to understand your identity you would have to return. And, by your words, they were the only social group you knew. Ergo, I comprehend why you would return.

You believed you could discover these things from an external source?
