We all wish desperately to go home, as a matter of course. The key, I believe, to returning home is figuring out precisely why we've been brought here, and that means deducing what commonalities exist amongst us. And it seems that I have noticed one not uncommon trait among many here, and wish to know if it is indeed a pattern or merely a ( Read more... )

What if you don't know?

Ah, sorry.

They were a group that wanted to extract the Shinrabanshou from me. I remember Kumohira-sensei telling me not to get mixed up with them. I don't remember how I became mixed up with them, but I did. I remember they acted politely - maybe even with kindness - toward me. Then, Hattori - their leader - became... I'm not sure what word to use.

He didn't want me going anywhere without one of the Kairoushuu clan with me. Someone had to keep an eye on me. I can't remember why, but it got a point, where they were going to keep me locked up until Hattori was ready to take the Shinrabanshou for himself.

I was running from Kairoushuu. From Hattori.

The Shinrabanshou can't be taken out without killing the user.

Do you not trust Yukimi?

Yukimi holds Hattori in such high regard, I'm pretty sure he would hand me over as though it was nothing. If Hattori also ended up here.

[Slight pause.] Hattori is the one he calls "leader"?

He is the leader of Kairoushuu, after all.

You should perhaps speak with him. His faith in this Hattori is not, I should say, as strong as it seems. He's confessed to me doubts.

Oh. He has?

But I would advise you speak with him directly. He does not, apparently, take kindly to people speaking of him.

-- He's still apart of Kairoushuu, though. And I know he would like it if Hattori had the Shinrabanshou, because 'he's going to change the world'. That isn't something he's going to easily change his mind about.
