And frankly, considering that as far as I know, none of the newcomers practice with the Church of Jonova, I find them conducting the memorial services to be... co-opting.

It's not that I think every newcomer is a Buddhist, but I can at least speak on the experiences of a newcomer a little more. And it's my hope to connect with many others to represent many faiths.

I was actually hoping you'd like to join the effort - you seem like you'd have a lot of good ideas for things like fund-raising, and you're good at getting the word out.

I want to get a few more people involved in the project before we start looking for permanent housing and estimating the monthly cost... but to start up I'm sure it will cost a few thousand dollars.
