[Having arrived last night and gotten the usual greeting, she had lost Anthy and wasn't sure where to turn. The Greeter told her he'd keep an eye out for a girl of her description, but after the monsters last night... Utena thought it might be easier to make a broadcast. Unfortunately, phones are for the upper class in her world; this one's giving ( Read more... )

It's a possibility.

Benjamin. You've come from the diamond?

I just don't know how we could've been separated...

Nice to meet you, Benjamin. Last night I was there, yeah.

Neither name nor description ring a bell. Be glad if she isn't here.

It's not safe for her back home without me.

And you think she'd be safer here? Slavery and human experiments at day, monsters roaming the streets at night?

Dark skin and green eyes? I don't know. No, I don't think so. She'd be a newcomer too, right?

You could ask the landlord of the Towers. He probably sees everyone new that comes through.

Yeah, she would be. I'll ask the apartment owner. Thanks for the advice.

Is there a...delay or something between arrivals?

No. It's weird, how it works out. It's not just a delay. Me and...a friend got pulled here at least a year apart, but we showed up at the same time!

Really? That's weird.

Ah... Miss, pardon me, but--er, well, introductions first, I suppose! I am Suou Tamaki, and may I say intially that it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, despite these less-than-fortunate circumstances that we find ourselves in!

Now, as a greeter here, I have access to all the names of those living at the Tower Apartments, and--well, there is no record of a Miss Anthy Himemiya, so... Well, I'm afraid it seems like she hasn't arrived here yet!

But don't give up hope! I will keep a solemn watch on the network, and on the records, and as soon as she arrives, I will let you know! Er, that is... if she arrives... Well, either way, I will hold a greeter's earnest vigil for Miss Anthy Himemiya! You have a king's word on that!

[A king's word? Wow. She just stares at him a minute, though. He looks...young. And he's a greeter?]

That's really nice of you, and I appreciate it. But don't overwork or anything. I'm going to go back and see if she's there every day in the off chance it happens.

It seems you've lost your rose petals, but don't fret, little calyx, we all lose our way. To gain is to - lose! ...or was it the other way around?

[Geez, what is with these people and flowers and- ...How did he know her name?]

I'll be okay. I'm just worried about her. It's not safe for her back home.

[a dream of a world in limbo, populated by the homeless. Crazy dream, no~?]

-Or to lose is to gain. I don't know about you, but there could be far worse situations.

That's true. [Like dueling at all hours of the day and night for something that could be fake.]

It just doesn't seem like any sort of place I've ever been to, and people keep saying it's terrible here.
