Kaito? [The voice of the girl is a high thread; anxiety has plainly slipped in. The next words are even higher, a thin thread threatening to break:] Kaito![Softer,] Anyone

[There's a video of snow, falling gently over mountains, white as far as the eye can see and almost surreal. The voice is smooth, genderless and soothing, with soft music murmuring in the background.]
Hello, Aoko Nakamori. The Core pulled you here - it's a machine, but it's broken very badly. I'm sorry you're lost, I know how disconcerting that is. I just got here a few days ago myself.
[The snow is oddly soothing, yes, in the wake of everything that is harsh and unfamiliar. In turn, Aoko's monitor clears as well, revealing a girl with bushy brown hair in her teens, wide eyes staring into the camera.]
[She takes a breath, obviously trying to control some temper. Her teeth knife briefly into her lower lip.]
Well, it's stupid. I've been away way too long as it is.
[. . . Okay, there's a little bit of temper there yet. Again she pauses. Her cheeks are red with internal fuming. When she speaks again, though, it's a little softer.]
[ Normally, Caster would emerge from the Dugout on the left, with a smile schooled onto her lips and a courteous greeting. However, a small complication arose at the tables with the snow globes, and she had arrived, perhaps, less than five minutes late at the baseball diamond. With her hood drawn over her face, she moved swiftly, before slowing to a stop before the young girl. ]
Good evening. [ She began, pleasantly, her voice as silky as her movements. ] Don't be alarmed. I'm here to explain your circumstances.

[Oh, yes. Don't be alarmed by the swiftly-moving stranger in the cloak who is advancing on her. In spite of the words, Aoko couldn't help but to be alarmed all the same, backing away several steps, fingers moving briefly to her throat. A pendant hangs there, silver, in the shape of a feather.]
Are you responsible? [Her feet are braced on the ground, anticipating.]
[ Seeing the girl begin to back away, Caster carefully slowed to a stop. No hunter would rush and frighten their prey, and while she didn't quite have her sights on this little lady, the principle was the same. She knew better than to unnerve her any further. ]
No, I am not. The culprit you are searching for would be the Core, a device that rests at the heart of this city. No one knows what it is exactly or where it comes from, but it is, unmistakably, the source of your arrival here, as well as several others.
[ She lightly inclined a hand towards her chest as she gently added: ] Including myself.

Has this happened to you before?

Mm . . . yeah. Just before this. There they wanted me to . . .
[Another blink, as though trying to clear her head.]
Save something. I think? Something big. It was important.

Yes?
[And if he's responsible for this, he's in for an earful.]

There should be someone coming to meet with you soon - they are called Greeters.
If there isn't, do you see those large towers to the side? You will find others - and information - inside.

I see them. Thanks.
Sorry . . . I'm sure you all do a lot of this.
[A breath.]
I suppose it's the same thing, anyway? Can't go home? Something keeping you here?
