[He's sitting outside on the roof of a building, in cargo shorts and a hoodie, holding a steaming mug of the mead, snow is all around him, but Loki seems entirely neither bothered nor aware of it. Bringing the mug to his lips, he takes a thoughtful sip.]Happy New Years, Siren's Port, consider this the proper way to start a new year off right ( Read more... )

Sacrifices of small animals?

I think you might count.

[This is what happens when you come between a woman and her morning routine. Fear her.]

How are you planning to compensate the hairdressers, restaurant owners, janitors, and all those other business owners who need water for a day of lost business?

What about the mothers of bottle-fed babies who can't mix formula and feed their children until tomorrow morning after sirens?

You're lucky nobody's reported you to the police.

[...She's going through a lot right now. Enjoy her stress at you.]

They ought to all take the day off and enjoy themselves rather than working. [Logical to him, but then, his work isn't exactly legal.]

And there are bottles of water, you know. They can pick up one of those. Or feed the babe some mead. I'm quite sure it's normal back home for a child to have a bit. With honey, of course.

[He thinks she might be a bit off her nut.] Lady, have a drink. Sit down. Relax. You seem quite ... wound up.

A bottle of mead mixed with formula enough times in a day to keep a baby fed would kill it.

[Oh you did not.]

I'm wound up because you took away the most vital human necessity without warning from the entire city and nobody seems to think that it's a problem.

Right. Mortal children. Then as I said before, bottled water.

[Oh, he did. He's an ass.]

Nobody thinks its a problem because they're out having fun. Not all of the water is mead, I left the bottles and private stores in tact. If someone is in dire need, I'm sure another of the magically inclined can assist them.

I would offer you, but after being called a small animal I am most disinclined.

You did this?

How'd you get enough of it for the entire city?

Magic, of course.

There's magic like that? I always thought turning water into wine was just something Jesus did.

Dionysus' pig did it first. Jesus stole his schtick. I really don't understand why people still worship Jesus, to be honest. He's taking a very long time to come back. I've died and returned thrice over in that time.

Water into beer, eh?

Jesus was classier 'bout it, kiddo.

He also said he'd be back. Well? I've died thrice over and returned since then. Where is he?

Besides, it's supposed to be fun. People are taking things far too seriously.

It's not a drought, really. The hospital has water. Now.

And there are bottles and private stores. I only changed the city water and a few -ah- select residences.

Had a taste yet?
