[ Caster chose the occupation of Greeter for various reasons, but it certainly took up quite a bit of time. In-between showing the Newcomers their temporary lodgings and explaining how Siren’s Port worked, she didn’t have very many moments to spare for her NetVice. As a result, she devised a simple remedy of addressing various matters in a single ( Read more... )

Hello, Caster. I see I'm not the only one lucky enough to have you there when they arrived. I'm glad.

I'm not out of bed yet, but I will be soon. When I am up and exploring, a coat would come in handy.

As long as you have some left over.

[ Lucky? ] Oh, now, you're embarrassing me. But thank you. It is kind of you to say. [ Even though she considered anyone meeting her far from lucky. ]

[ She chuckles lightly. ] It's funny that you should say that. I actually bought one just for you, since I noticed that your clothes were ruined. I'll bring it over with lunch this afternoon, then.

And whenever you are well, I can give you a tour of the city, if you'd like.

Ah, well thank you. Yes, I suppose my clothes are rather worse for wear. [He laughs awkwardly.]

I'll find a way to repay you. I'll find a way. I'm not staying, but if you want to give me a tour, it could be useful. I'm improving, but give me another day or two.

[ While unseen in audio feed, Caster's smile gains a sad edge to it. 'I'm not staying.' How many times has she heard other people say it? How many times has she hoped that was true for herself? Yet, when she speaks again, it's with the same gentle voice. ]

When that time comes, I'll point out which sections belong to AGI and SERO. Unless you affiliate with one of them, they'll be...decidedly aggressive to try and convince you to join.

Oh, by the way, are you interested in searching for a job? I know you said that you won't be staying, but in the meantime, you'll need a way to pay the bills. The Tower Apartments only give you residency free for one month.

The American holiday? It's important to some people -- Canadians celebrated it a month ago.

Oh, yes, I can remember that. It was the first time that I had seen its celebration.

I know that the upcoming date for Thanksgiving is meant for Americans, but I always thought that the idea of giving thanks was a fine idea. It really makes you stop to look around at everything in a different perspective. For me, at least.

[ Of course, the only thing that she wanted -- no, the only one that she wanted was one man. A man that wasn't present in Siren's Port. The only man who she never took for granted but wasn't there at her side. Even still, she speaks lightly, almost optimistically in spite of her feelings. ]

It's sort of fine -- To give thanks, I mean. I don't know why people choose an specific date to be grateful.

It's how most holidays are, right?

Thanksgiving? Totally about the food.

Oh and giving thanks and all that. Hence the name.

And lots of people could use warm clothes, I can deliver them for you in a flash if you want.

Oh? It sounds like you've already made plans for Thanksgiving.

While I would certainly appreciate the help, I wouldn't want to trouble you, especially when you've only just arrived.

What is Thanksgiving? [Too many new holidays for her!]

[ Caster expected some to find it foreign and ask about its meaning. It was, after all, the intention of her entry. ]

It's a holiday, where you give thanks for what you have over a meal with others. Depending on the country, the date varies.

So, what kind of holidays did your world have?

[OOC: Headcanon gives no examples of holidays, so I'm just going to have to make it up. ><]

Hmmm...well...We had a harvest festival in the autumn that wasn't too unlike your Halloween, except we had no costumes or anything like that. And we had a winter celebration as well.

Oh, it's interesting that as different as our worlds are, they have paralleling similarities. It sounds like this winter celebration you're familiar with coincides with Christmas that's in December. Have you ever heard of it?

I thought Thanksgiving had already passed.

[Marluxia doesn't care for it either way. It's not like he's got family or anything.]

It has, for most of Siren's Port. But for some of the new arrivals, who are more accustomed to an American Thanksgiving...well, it spurs a few thoughts onto the matter.

[ Not that she would reveal her true ones, especially over an open network. ]

Did you have a chance to celebrate it last month, Mr. Marluxia?
