[The entire headquarters looks more... festive than it did the day before. There are poinsettias everywhere, in vases, in garlands, growing everywhere. Bright reds and pinks and whites. It looks like someone decided to get into the Christmas Spirit disgustingly early this year

[And this guy is just trying to figure out why there is a chain of flowers wrapped around his oh-so-comfy chair. And all over his desk.]

Maaan, I was gonna nap again.

[But he felt like he had to do some actual... work today.]

[Marluxia loos up from his work, carefully teasing a white flower into bloom from across the room.]

You could take them down if you wished, though...

[He smirks. He's not about to throw stones about being caught sleeping at his desk. Between his two jobs and volunteering, even Marluxia got tired sometimes.]

The ones on your desk to make for good cover to hide behind.

[Luxord raises an eyebrow at the riot of colors that seem to sprouted practically overnight, when he walks in. He doesn't have much of a complaint about flowers in general, but there's still something a little odd about it anyway.]

I'd not have thought it the season.

Ah, but there is not much in the way of seasonal flowers between now and the springtime.

[He finishes creating a chain of pink and red ones to drape.]

Not that these are seasonal flowers, exactly. Normally they are grown in hothouses. They would be far too fragile to grow on their own outside.

I'll grant that much, yes. I've heard these most commonly used in winter itself, though?

[The habit wasn't really something his world - or rather, the subsection of it he saw most usually - ever did, so there's a certain amount of lack of understanding at work.]

I believe them to be a Christmas thing, technically. These and a certain type of rose, though I think that roses in this instance would look a little off...

[He muses on that, and decides to give it more thought later.]

I believe that in the post Christmas season, we are supposed to just suffer through whatever hothouse flower that can be milled quickly enough to sell.

[He cants his head, conceding a point.]

Until Valentine's day, of course.

[Axel leans on the wall, a cup of coffee in one hand and the other on his hip. Have an Epic Eyebrow.] Little early, aren't you? It's not even December yet.

I know, but what else is there between now and then? There are not exactly any seasonal flowers...

[He makes one bloom in his hand, and hands it to Axel with a bemused smirk.]

[Axel takes the flower and turns it in his hand, then sort of stuffs it into the lapel of his suit jacket with a grin, pointing up.] Matches my hair.

So have they got you on landscaping duty these days, or is this just a side hobby now? [He's not sure he wants to know if the teaching job went south or not.]

[He chuckles softly. The poinsettia more than matches Axel's hair in color in the Assassin's eyes, all sharp points.]

I have been assisting Vexen, actually. I have been learning quite a bit, which I imagine must disgust him to no end.

[He takes a quick glance around at his efforts.]

No, this is simply a matter of adding some color. I imagine the the weather will only get more dismal and gray as the season wears on.

[He takes in Axel in the suit again. Marluxia himself rarely wears a suit, as he rarely has time to change after getting out of school.]
