I'll see you then.

[He shuts the feed. When he shows up at six, he's not on his motorbike; rather, he walked to her door. It seemed more appropriate.]

[She greets him at the door in her blue dress from home, giving him a faint smile.]

Hullo. Sorry to call you for such a morbid occasion.

Don't be. We'll have a cheerful date later, after all this is done.

[He returns the smile. It's a genuine one, to be sure, but it's also tired.]

Lizzie and your Ma and Pop, yeah?

[She nods, stepping out of the house and closing the door behind her.]

Yes. It's been...eleven years for me now, I suppose.

[Gently he takes her hand in his, walking next to her as they go down the street.]

Why does it always seem like the more I know about you, the more I wonder how truly different our pasts are, Jack Kelly?

Right, then.

[He threads their fingers together.]

There's probably some stupid lesson about rich and poor bein' the same, but to hell with it.

[She squeezes their hands again, putting her head on his shoulder for a moment.]

I wasn't that rich, you know.

Weren't you? It's all the same to me, honestly, rich was rich was rich.

[He turns, kissing the top of her head.]

Doesn't matter much now, though.

Having a house doesn't mean we were rich. Once my parents had married the both of us off, I do doubt we'd have had much money left.

[She smiles.]

It's been a long time, though. I don't know how much we had. It was all spent on the funeral and for our attorney. I don't miss it.

[Privately, he disagrees, but now isn't the time.]

Yeah, well, good. Money ain't everythin' and all.

[A moment's pause.]

You still think about stuff like that? Gettin' married and all?
