Twenty-two ~ Video

[For anyone around before the video kicks in... when she appeared, pulled back into port and living again, she crashed with a loud startled cry, NV oddly in hand. Sitting up her hands flew to her head, NV dropping a few feet away, skittering to a stop, flipped open and ON...]

Why?!

[A hard gasp was heard on the NV first, the video picking up only ( Read more... )

[at the moment there would be no reply. Sorry, General. The NV is in hand, currently held extremely tight into the dirt of the ground. Give her a bit, or a few hours, to get back to this. Right now she can't manage anything with the dull roar of the worlds largest headache that her brain (at least she has one) is giving her.]

[Either way, at this moment if anyone does find her, she's half ass moved off the pitches mound and made it about 10 steps infield towards the exit when she stopped to heave again, knelt in the dirt and coughing, one hand holding her head as if it were split open. She was -not- responding to -anything- at the moment]

[Sylar has stolen his NV. It's easy to lift one out of someone's pocket from a distance. She really did come back from the dead. It's impressive; even worth offering congratulations.

This time his voice isn't masked. It's Sylar who speaks. He doesn't bother to make the feed private, either.]

I didn't think it possible, but here you are.

[Her own reply comes much later. It took her a while to actually check her NV again, and cleaning it she finds replies.]

[Why was the first of them the one that made her head hurt the most, figuratively and physically, it seems]

S-Sylar? [Thanks... she does remember THAT name and THAT voice] You'd be surprised at how resilient we can be. [No one has ever heard her sound that cold sounding before...]

That's right. [No hesitation. No guilt.] Boo.

[Nor is he quite done.]

How does it feel? Dying?

[You know that feeling you get when you just did something that felt stupid? You know, like jumping at the 'boo'. Yeah, she just did that, which meant she settled down in her couch with the most surly face a moment later]

It hurts. But... why? Why would you... do that?

[...Several hours later anyway, since he was at work.]

Are you somewhere safe now?

[several hours is good, because it took her a while to get settled into something called life. It's nice to hear that voice again it's nice to hear any voice, really. She spoke carefully, still dealing with a headache.]

Fairly safe. If this apartment is safe at all.

You want me to come keep an eye on you until the police can send someone? Or you could come over here to the boarding house, although I know you're probably not in much of a mood for visits.

Y-you don't have to do that. The police don't need to... to send anyone to watch me. [Or do they? That thought made her skin crawl. Was it actually safe here? Hnn, she doubtlessly still had a 'bodyguard' here anyhow...]

I think I should be fine. I can...[the words 'defend myself' stuck in her throat. She changed her sentence. Oh...] I need to find my sword...

[it takes him a bit - say, under four minutes - to get out of the Towers and down to the Baseball diamond, but he hopes he can still catch her. there's a big question at the forefront of his mind, and it was... actually just like hers. what had happened?]

[Yes, hours later there is a reply. Sorry Larry! Video, sure, she's snuggled in a blanket on her couch, a lil yellow bird tucked on her shoulder and sleeping close]

Larry... [only the faintest of small smiles.] I'm alright now. Sorry for the wait.

[There is a faint little moment of a smile. It was nice to know people had worried about her, ah but it didn't last too long]

I'm a little tired but doing alright. The headache is passing. I'm sorry if I worried you. I should have been more careful, I know.
