[Sora's never seen either of these two in person, but he has heard the whispers. Vague rumors. Bits of awe and fear sprinkled in conversation. Who hasn't?]

[But this? This is just the first time Sora's been lucky enough to see these guys in action. By the end of the video, he's grinning like a loon.]

When bad guys show up, you're always there to give the old one-two. So... Definitely hero-material.

Well, I gotta count for all the other heroes and junor heroes out there too!

Plus that's why I wanted to ask you now while I had the chance.

Those who do rarely deserve to be.

[He nods slowly, affirmatively.] Yeah-- that's kinda what Phil was saying too.

He said being a hero's something you gotta earn- something you gotta figure out for yourself. Calling yourself one right off the bat's kinda cheating.

Is that what you're trying to be?

Yea. But Phil says I got a long way to go, so I'm stuck at Junior for now. Haven't got the answer yet, but one day I will!

First though, I gotta get back home and fix everything- and once all the people I'm supposed to help are safe, I'm gonna go back to Phil and see if I've figured out how to make the cut.

Who is Phil, and why does his opinion even matter?

Why do you even want to be defined by that term?

Well he's the guy who trains heroes for a living. He whipped Hercules right into shape.

But I dunno. I guess I never really thought about it before... about why I wanted to be one. I just kinda did...

[Ever since he was a kid.]

Do you want it for the prestige?

And so what if he did? Heroes are not trained. They are made, and judged by the people are them. All 'Phil' can do is to make sure you have the skills you need.

[lockandkeyblade]

[Sora just shakes his head. Sure- being a hero's pretty cool! And it would be nice to be admired, but there's something more to it than that. He just doesn't know how to put it.]

What I really wanna do is protect Riku and Kairi. All my friends too.

There's also lot of bad things happening where I come from, and somebody's gotta fix it. Make sure everybody's safe.

Heroes-- they're good at that stuff.

[ There's a pause, and there's a very, very quiet snort. ]

You must come from the same world as the boy from weeks again, flailing for a purpose because he can't earn the label of 'Master'.

You do not need a label to do what is right. You do not need anything except your will, and your want. If you wish to stop evil, then do so. You don't need a trainer to give you a label before you can.

All you might need is training. To make sure you are not killed.
