It's nothing that odd or miraculous really. It's a matter of energy releasing from the earth as a direct result of the continental plates, which tend to drift and cause the ground beneath to quake.

As for hearts that aren't rabbits...I'm not quite certain I understand what you mean.

Rabbits. .. I take care of the Phantomhive rabbits. They were pretty upset during the earthquake. [ he pulls the kerchief off his ears, and they spread back over his shoulders again, flicking. ] Whether it was miraculous or natural, it was still strange for someone who's never been through one before.

[ at the last, though, the blush returns, and he lifts his hand to pat his chest. ]

Well.. I imagine since I look more human than rabbit-y, now, my heart is probably at least sort of human, too.
