plot within a plot!
Hi, SP! This is a tentative plotting post for part two of the Terranort plot: the χ-blade. This one's a two phaser, so pop on some music and away we go!
PHASE ONE
In Kingdom Hearts canon, the χ-blade is an alternative method of opening the way to Kingdom Hearts, aside from opening the door to darkness with a different Keyblade composed of seven pure hearts-- rather than opening the door to darkness, the χ-blade is capable of summoning Kingdom Hearts directly to its wielder.
It's also probably the goofiest looking thing Nomura has ever crapped out in this series. Nearly a year later I still haven't quite figured out how Vanitas is able to hold it with one hand, but... whatever!
In order to forge the χ-blade, a heart of pure darkness needs to "clash" with a heart of pure light-- which is more like merging, really. And oh, lookie here, Vanitas and Ventus fit the bill! The tentative date that this will be happening is June 13, right after a fight between Vanitas and Xion, I believe. There will be a separate log for that, then a network post from our good friend fandom refers to as Venitas.
Except, you know, in English. This will probably seem very familiar to characters who encountered possessed Riku in KH1, just with a different goofy apocalypse weapon!
What I'm looking to plot:
Once the χ-blade is successfully forged, Venitas is going to attempt to summon Kingdom Hearts while destroying anything/anyone who gets in his way. I'm looking for people who are willing to fight him- possibly both as eventual victims and as a part of the group who winds up helping to destroy the χ-blade and, subsequently, Vanitas within Ventus.
The χ-blade is an incredibly powerful weapon, and Venitas is an extremely capable fighter; however, Venitas isn't exactly at Keyblade Master level-- he's going to hit hard and he's certainly able to kill, but his skill level as a fighter is probably what will do him in. The fighting will likely go on over the span of a few days if enough people want to encounter him, until someone's finally able to take him out.

PHASE TWO
Kidding!
Sometime after Terra is freed from Xehanort's grasp, Vanitas will be making a return to Siren's Port, but not quite the same as he has been: commonly referred to as the Vanitas Remnant, or Vanitas' Lingering Sentiment, this is actually an Unversed-- or the negative emotions Vanitas draws from himself and from others. Personal headcanon is that the Remnant is the last bit of Vanitas' emotions that is terrified of dying or losing his purpose.
True to an Unversed's nature, the Remnant is not the calm and collected wielder Vanitas usually is, but an extremely violent, almost to the point of mindless, monster. It will attack anyone with reckless abandon, it cannot be reasoned with, and although it speaks in the actual boss battle, that's probably the extent of its ability to communicate. Basically, it will not stop fighting until it is destroyed.
And then a week or two later you guys get to deal with the surliest teenager ever because he is a failure at his life and his true purpose. :(
WHAT I'M LOOKING TO PLOT:
VICTIMS. I'd like for the Remnant to rake through as many people as possible before Sora finally takes it down. As noted in the battle video linked, the Remnant has a wide array of darkness attacks, and-- thankfully for Sora-- pretty low health. BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T USE CURATIVE SPELLS.
