It's a godawful small affair

Who: Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, and THE BAT
When: Saturday night/Sunday morning
Where: On the borderlands of Sector 9
Summary: Sherlock has been on the bounty trail for Batman for the past two weeks, and now's the time for the payoff. And to prove to John that he knows who Batman is, but that's... inconsequential. Maybe more ulterior motives will be revealed. Maybe secrets and lies will be exposed. TUNE IN-- well no only partly true but read on
Warnings: A bit of violence, predictably, but nothing crazy.

The pieces had all quietly fallen into place. Sherlock had been following Batman most of the nights since he took up the bounty, as it was a good enough distraction when he was avoiding the Network. It was also a distraction for anyone looking into his business. It seemed he'd lost any interest in the mysterious texting newcomer that went only by 'M.' He hadn't. Even now he was thinking about where Moriarty could be holed up, but that was a game for tomorrow if this went well.

Sherlock planned this confrontation around several facts he'd gathered. John wasn't working the hospital tonight. He needed the backup and he knew his friend had to be getting restless. Nevermind that he was starting to miss their cavorting around London like normal again. Secondly, Sherlock managed to map out Batman's nightly patrols after figuring out he stayed mainly in the poor areas of the city. He would come closest to the border of Sectors 4 and 9 today, and he'd already taken enough chances in the Darkness during his investigation, sustaining mostly minor wounds he kept hidden. Most importantly, Robin wouldn't be with him tonight, and while it was one less distraction for Batman, it was one less distraction for Sherlock and John as well. He didn't want her in the middle of this, no matter what she thought.

Though really, Sherlock had no intent on claiming the bounty at all. He earned more capturing the asylum escapee, and there was still plenty of that profit to go around, along with John's arrival money. He really didn't care about SERO's bruised egos, either. What Sherlock wanted was to find out just what Batman stole that night from their labs and why. That and perhaps finally prove something he'd been fairly certain of since Batman arrived.
