The good Doctor Doctor Smith would be very proud :) I'm even going to begin to comment on that movie.
Speaking of doctors, though, I've been meaning to tell you that there is this kid at work who looks vaguely like a younger, American version of David Tennant and I refer to him to my friend as The Doctor for shits and giggles. He, however, is not aware of this and I'm afraid one day I will slip and have to explain my strange nerdiness.
Stupid, I know, but you're the only one that wouldn't think me totally crazy.
Ha I could just hear you saying "what the FUCK" when I saw that preview the other day- and almost choked laughing when I saw the mammoths romping about what appears to be a hot arid environment with the scantily-clad humans. It's pretty bad when you don't have to be well-versed in natural history to see that it's a veritable "find as many anachronisms and grossly inaccurate interpretations as you can" movie. I can't imagine how much more BS you'd find if you saw the entire movie. Unless it was made to be the topic of an extra credit paper for undergrads... How hard is it to at least TRY to make an accurate movie?! Ugh.
Wasn't it TERRIBLE? At first I thought I was just being overly sensitive...but no. It's just glaringly awful. It's very, very clear that they didn't even have a consultant...much less a research book made within the last century.
