http://www.10000bcmovie.com/ Okay, all you archaeologists out there? This is very possibly the most painful thing since the Flintstones.
Off the top of my head let's see if I can recap some of the most disgusting errors:
1. Humans and megafauna did not coexist with velociraptors.
2. Woolly mammoths (Mammuthus primigenius) were tundra animals. This means NORTH. Considering 12k years ago, we would've still been in the Last Glacial Maximum. Not a climate conducive to modern humans with no apparent cold adaptation running around in loin cloths.
3. Early modern humans? Yeah, they would've had extensive body hair. Going through northern Eurasia and North America...they would've needed it.
4. What was up with the fighting ostrich?
5. Where the hell would there have been civilizations capable of mass organization and temple building? This to me suggests a stratified, hierarchical society. 12kya, there would have been a number of migratory hunter-gatherer groups.
6. There are no cave painting of sabre-tooth tigers that have been found anywhere in the world.
7. Speaking of saber-tooth tigers, given the fact that their saber teeth were easily shattered, it is believed that they were in fact scavengers. They would not have hunted freaking humans.
8. Did I mention dinosaurs never would have existed within about 70 million years of humans?
9. Yeah, there's no evidence for the domestication of mastodons or mammoths.
10. I'm suuure they were all white.
Anyone else have anything to add to this?
