Sera eventually wanders back to her home via flight, looking rather ragged and unhappy. She also looks as if she might just throw up at any moment. Thinking to herself that more actual food should be consumed rather than candy, she flies down low to investigate the local fare. Something she actually hasn't done yet.
Levitating a few feet off the ground she notices Wanda wandering around. Since she has yet to see anyone wandering around R15, she approaches her to say hi. Also to warn her about her dream beasties, in case she needs warning.
"Errr, Hi. I'm Sera. Don't see many people wandering around this ghost town, heh."
Her voice is a bit tired and raspy, but her attempted smile is genuine.
Wanda's used to not running into anyone around the station, so anyone she does happen to come across, or rather, anyone who comes across her, gets her attention.
Especially if that person happens to be levitating.
Wondering if perhaps the girl is a mutant, Wanda pauses and gives the girl a restrained smile of her own.
"Wanda. I can't imagine you'd find many people around the station, period," she replied, giving Sera a careful, assessing look.
Sera shrugs. With all the feeds going off to the whole station by people she sort of feels like she runs into everyone.
"Physically, yeah, but there tends to be a lot of chatter on the comm thingie. Oop, sorry."
After noticing that she is somehow significantly taller than someone she realizes she is still levitating (She's only 4'10" but she's not a child. She's 23). She lands on the ground, giving her new stance an odd look.
"I don't think I've ever touched the ground in this section before."
She blushes.
"Sorry, been getting used to just flying everywhere since people don't seem to mind it, or notice it too much, or try to shoot at me for it, with CAMERAS not, wow, no I only really get shot at when I lose control. NOT...not that that happens much I...eeeeeeeh."
She is feeling like a huge dork now, her face is bright red. She feels she may have led yet another person to believe that she may be insane.
She wasn't one to normally venture out into the shopping areas of the city, but...well. They did have an excellent selection, and she couldn't stay in her suit as much as she did, now.
Gem was dressed as she always was, in her white body hugging suit, golden circuit lines running down her body, with white hair pulled tight into a bun. Unless it was raining, she rarely felt the need for any other change. The cold never bothered her.
A force of habit, perhaps, but it was familiar, and gave her a sense of control--a necessity always in her life.
Of all of the zones Wanda had been to thus far, none of them had really had quite as many extensive shopping centers as this one. Having not yet acquired the credits needed for several things on board the station, she was, for the moment, merely window shopping.
As always, running across someone else in the area always diverted her attention, and so without any attempt to hide her approach, Wanda moved forward to greet the other woman. If nothing else, she was curious about how or why her body suit glowed the way it did.
"Window shopping as well?" she asked, offering the other woman a slight smile.
Aah I'm sorry I missed that she was actually inside a shop |DdoesthemathJanuary 6 2012, 04:40:32 UTC
Wanda paused a moment as her brain caught up with Gem's reply and connected the dots as to why she might have replied with something like that.
"I didn't mean that literally," she replied. "It's a phrase for...shopping without a specific purpose. Simply looking to see what might be available. Sorry, I suppose it's a bit imprecise."
She pauses a beat.
"Your voice sounds familiar. May I ask your name?"
Steve has, contrary to Peggy's wishes, ducked out of the hospital to get some fresh air. He has Erik's knife in his jeans' pocket, well-hidden, and is moving on a pair of surreptitiously borrowed crutches. Curiosity brought him to the War History museum's locked doors; now he's sitting on the grand steps up to the building, squinting up at the artificial sky.
Of all of the districts that Wanda has been in, this has been one of the more normal ones. The first thing she'd found that was at all different from the other zones was the War History museum, and it was at that moment she found happened upon Captain Rogers.
She had only come back into the residential zones to pick something up, but seeing Steve sitting there, she couldn't very well pass by without saying something.
"Captain," she said in greeting, slowly making her way to where he sat.
His immediate reaction to someone's approach is to seize a crutch like a potential weapon- and then nearly drop it when he registers who it is. He hovers for a moment in indecision, trying to figure out what he should say, expect.
Steve clears his throat and sets the crutch down. "Miss Wanda. Are we..." How does a person ask if he's on speaking terms with someone? "I'm... How are you?"
For a moment, Wanda simply took it all in. His reaction. The crutches. The half asked questions that went unfinished. It was hard to know how she felt. A part of her had expected Erik to prove himself to be this sort of man, but Steve, well, she had expected, hoped for better from him.
"Better than you, it appears," she replied, tone carefully neutral though her unhappiness with the situation was more than clear from her expression.

Things that do not please Clint Barton: losing. What had happened with Magneto wasn't a loss, per say, but it sure did feel that way. Even now, a few days later, Clint is wandering around, nursing his wounds and avoiding spending any amount of time with his "team." There's no visible signs of his injuries, but he's favoring his left side and scowling something fierce as he prowls the zone.
No such thing! /grabby hands for tagdoesthemathJanuary 6 2012, 05:09:12 UTC
Wanda had walked away from the woman with the motorcycle a good twenty minutes ago when she turned the corner to find Clint Barton there. Even if his face didn't look quite the same, she recognized the similarities in his uniform and that of the Hawkeye back home.
She also noticed the limp.
"I see you didn't come out of your encounter with Magneto unscathed," she said in greeting, tone carefully neutral.
Even if he couldn't have picked her out of a crowd, hearing her speak was enough for Clint to recognize her, as well. He nodded at her, but at mention of Magneto his expression fell flat, again.

"Around here I can see why no one thinks much of your flying. Such abilities seem more commonplace," she said. "Are you a mutant?"
Flight seemed fairly common with most mutants, and Wanda herself could manage the task with ease while making use of her own abilities.

She rarely shopped, and when she did so, it was always alone. So forgive her, Wanda.
"Why would I want to shop for windows?"
This was a dress shop, after all. It should have been obvious what she was searching for.

"This? Is nothing. I got off easy."

The Magneto she knew thought nothing of ripping a pacemaker out of a man's chest. A hurt ankle or foot was nothing as far as Wanda was concerned.
