Steve is just standing in the background - well, behind her, because standing in the background of a target range is just stupid this tag I don't even know what words are any more.

But hey, there he is. Watching her shoot things. Because it's hot.

...Er for entirely professional reasons.

She doesn't turn around, as she's checking over the gun, but she just knows who it is that's come to stand behind her.

"How long have you been there?" Because he was not there while she was setting this up. I don't know what words are either didn't we establish this like Friday.

"Not too long." That thread that hasn't happened yet has established the fact that he fails at sneaking. Fails. "I heard the..."

He gestures at the targets. "This, and thought I should take a look."

Fails is an understatement. Satisfied with her looking over, Peggy finally glances back over her shoulder at Steve, giving him a nod. "I've only just started. I meant to try it out ages ago, but never quite got the chance."

"Wouldn't you prefer a moving target?"

He's just suddenly there, leaning against that mess of logs she's been shooting at. Arms folded, his posture both cocky and completely relaxed. And yes, Peggy, he's examining his nails.

She doesn't even bat an eyelash at his sudden appearance, taking one brief glance at him before continuing in adjusting the weight of the gun in her hands. "Of course it's ideal, makes for better practice. But I'm quite used to not having that option."

He doesn't pay any overt attention to the firearm, but he's wary of it regardless. Naturally, he can outrun bullets, but he still doesn't quite trust her.

But he trusts Rogers. And Rogers, damn the man, does. Pietro can hardly rely on his judgment in one respect and disdain it in another. He doesn't have to respect her - nor does he imagine he can - but he might as well make an effort to play nice.

So. Give him a moment, Peggy, he's going to just. Go make a quick trip to the junkyard. It doesn't take him very long, and after a few moments he's back with a box which he dumps unceremoniously beside her. It's full of things. Shootable things. And maybe one or two genuine clay pigeons.

"It wouldn't do for you to get rusty," he says, actually managing neutrality instead of snarky condescension for once. "I'll throw them. If you think you can keep up."

She's... surprised. Definitely surprised, but it doesn't show on her face. She peers down into the box, lifting a foot to move some of the items inside around to get a better look.

"I don't get rusty," Peggy says before kicking the box back over towards him. "The weapon isn't designed for long range. Keep them at the appropriate distance, or the practice is pointless."

Having gotten up to speed on the going ons Sacrosanct has had in her absence, Noble Six made her way inside the shooting range. You know, because a heavily augmented, seven foot super soldier needs to keep her skills razor sharp should anything happen.

And things always seem to happen.

Like now, when she walked in, quiet despite being in full kit, and witnessed a rather normal looking, but uniformed woman testing out the MA37. Ah, good gun. Speaking of which, she's sporting one on her back, with a Designated Marksman Rifle in her hands.

She watched the bullets fly at the targets. Huh, good aim, but clearly unused to it. Six decided to make her presence known and walk closer to Peggy.

Hopefully she won't get startled by the lightning and clouds surrounding her armor, too.

"Good shots."

Peggy's quickly aware that someone's approaching her, and she lowers the gun slightly to steal a glance. Armored person, seemingly surrounded by a storm. She'd do a double take at the clouds in confusion, if she was the kind of person to actually do a double take.

Instead, she just nods cordially, a muted show of gratitude for the compliment. "Practice makes perfect, even if I've not gotten there yet."

"Your feel on the gun?"

Six chose to stand beside Peggy, but at a polite distance. The woman didn't seem all that bothered by her presence. She probably met one of the other Spartans already.

"I've only done one test, so I've not come to a final conclusion. But it seems to have a rather nice balance."

She lowers the gun so it's aiming more towards the ground than forward at the targets, but she's still standing attentively.

Clint is wandering around somewhere nearby, and despite thinking guns are crude and ineffective weapons (arrow snob, thy name is Barton), the sound of gunfire draws him in nonetheless. He examines Peggy's aim with a critical eye, but the nods in an approving, good-natured way.

"Wow, Agent Carter. That's quite the shot you have there."

She turns, recognizing the voice, and bites back a small prideful smirk. "I've done better. I'm not familiar with this model yet. Though I'm pleased with the first test shots, at least."

"Well if this is you on a test shot, consider me impressed." The tone of his voice indicates he does not offer that sentiment lightly.

Peggy stands up straighter, shoulders back, and allows herself that tiny smirk; she knows she's a good shot, and she doesn't need anyone to tell her that, but his tone combined with compliment just fuels her pride. "Everyone's got their area of expertise."
