[I'll listen.

She recognizes the wearable it's sent from, and remembers the man she'd talked to - he was a little weird, but he'd seemed all right.

And as it happens, Parker has had a lot of trouble lately with people not listening to her, or not believing her when they do. Someone actually offering is practically unheard of.

The location ping itself is impossible to ignore, of course. She watches the door from across the street for awhile, but there doesn't seem to be too much movement, and soon she's moved on to watching from a tree in the front yard, and finally to entering the apartment itself.

It's on the first floor, and the windows are unlocked, opening easily and soundlessly. Parker slips in and drops silently to the carpet, looking around curiously.]

[She just squints at him in suspicion for a moment, and then speaks bluntly.]

So are you going to actually say anything useful or just keep making me think of everything?

Because I can do that on my own.

[ It takes a great deal to keep from smiling, but the Counselor manages it, giving her an expectant look. ]

And has that given you everything you've desired?

...yes? theniputitback December 13 2011, 17:13:26 UTC
[SIGHS IMPATIENTLY]

If it had, do you think I'd be here?

I suppose not.

[ The Counselor glances down at his datapad, giving it a tap, and then sets it aside to look at her. ]

Why don't you tell me how things usually go?

...al...ways... theniputitback December 13 2011, 23:38:04 UTC
[She ignores his question, though, instead standing to lean over the desk, trying to get a look at his data pad.]

What're you writing?

Is it about me?

i find that hard to believe nocheckboxes December 14 2011, 14:55:18 UTC
[ A quick flick of his fingers, and the datapad's screen goes blank, all data locked behind a tight encryption. He lets it sit where it is, giving his head a shake. ]

This is not a session, Parker, just a conversation. I have no need to take notes.

believe it buddy. theniputitback December 15 2011, 22:39:12 UTC
[yeah sorry she's not buying it. Parker gives him a hard look, though she sits back down when it becomes clear that she's not going to get anything off the datapad.]

Then what're you doing?

nope nocheckboxes December 16 2011, 01:08:58 UTC
You interrupted my work.

[ Have a not remotely creepy pleasant smile. ]

It's pretty rude to be working on it while you're supposed to be talking to me.

It's still rude.

If you were busy working, you could have asked me to come back later.

[pause. still glaring.]

...Stop smiling at me.

Shouldn't we make the best of our time together?

[ oh fine, the smile's gone -- though he doesn't look any less pleasant. ]
