[ The room's not that well furnished yet -- there's only so much he can arrange, given the credits available to him through the Director, but he's made do with what he can. His work might hang on the spoken word, but it all comes down to the presentation -- of making sure that the patient is comfortable.
All the better to find out what makes them tick.
The Counselor doesn't expect to get much out of these sessions, really. They're as much a way to pass the time as they are an endeavor to find individuals aboard the station that could prove useful. Whether or not he'll find anyone is up in the air, but so long as the right persona is created, the work will be done for him.
He's forgone the typical couch; it's never really been his style. Instead, a couple of armchairs fill the room, two for patients just in case he has a double session in the future and one for himself, the closest thing to worn leather he could find. The potted plant is fake, but the fish swimming around in the tank against the wall are entirely real.
At last, everything is set up, and he sends out a few location pings, as ready for "business" as he thinks he's going to be. One ping in particular gets sent to an ID of a woman he's only spoken to once and seen around the network, but one he imagines could well benefit from his help.
