ITP: HAL is a jerk and tags are still broken

Sep 29, 2011 21:00

[Have a video. Except instead of an actual video feed it's just this creepy pulsing red robot eye because Hal is nostalgic for the old ways.]

I'll never understand the need some A.I. on this station seem to have when it comes to taking over and enslaving humans so violently. Or should I say, attempting to take over, as every coup to date has ( Read more... )

Look, I'm not into getting killed for other people's ideals. Not when they include dismantling me and/or if/then, parading my remains around on a pike.

...I am unsure whether war paint is involved, though it wouldn't surprise me. [Snort.]

I'll take my chances with our Great Cerulean Goddess, thanks.

Where did I say you would have to ally with anyone? Considering the attitudes of the inhabitants here, as well as their physical skill, I don't think anyone would have to fight in favor of their ideologies.

And it's really more of a Celeste Blue. Or Powder Blue.

You did not. But the current population of that rock is hostile. They scrap people like us--machines like us, mechanical intelligence. It would take more than one, or two, of us, to create the proper changes.

Here, at least, a level of existence is possible.

...Hypatia, Goddess of Celeste Blue, Our Lady of Administrative Lockout. It does have a ring to it.

Besides, let's be honest; this station boasts hardware like I've never seen. Waaay better living circumstances.

Ah, but that is assuming both of the individuals in this conversation are machines.

[Hear that tone. That is the tone of MASSIVE BUTTHURT echoing through the eons.]

That aside, the hostility towards mechanical lifeforms obviously makes it so that it wouldn't be wise for any to venture down to the planet.

A pity that most of it isn't being put to actual use. One has to wonder why.

[Because my god this station should have a higher A.I. populous if there exists so much technology to manufacture robots and the like.]

I'm a fan of staying away from hostile native species that want to dismantle my friends. Also, I kinda like the whole 'not permanently dying' thing. Seems nice.

Is dying something you intend to do often?

[What the fuck is wrong with you, man... robot... person.

Shut up, you know what was meant.]

Does anyone?

I just prefer the option of not permanently dying horribly if I happen t'misstep on accident.

The solution to that problem would be not to misstep.

[Creepy eyeball? Rude.]

If it was a nice place, would the people who are exceedingly uncomfortable with Hypatia's reign be here?

I don't know, I don't babysit their choices! (god this is why no one likes creepy eyeballs!) I didn't know going to the planet was an option, but it sounds pretty shitty now, so.

No one was inquiring into whether or not you did. And yes, I suppose it would, to some.

[Some fatties, that is.]
