I stopped at Binny's after lunch today (any of you not in the Chicagoland area or unfamilair with Binny's - I grieve for you.) I overheard a discussion between a salesguy and a Scotch noob and I distinctly heard: ARD-berg, ISSS-lay, AK-un-TOE-shen, LA-guv'lin, and a Bowmore that rhymed with "Cow Lore." Hell, I've been screwing them up for years. I'm a closet scotch fiend, so developed some very bad pronounciation habits with no one to tell me different. I still say ISS-lay even though I know better.
What's the proper pronounciation of Ardbeg?

The glaring error I heard on the Ardbeg was the addition of the second R - ArdbeRg - like Pittsburgh.

As far as I know, Ardbeg is just ARD-beg. I always thought it was hard to screw that one up. Some of them are downright difficult to figure out so you really can't fault somebody for not being able to decipher Auchentoshan or Lagavulin, but he was just throing an extra R in there for no reason.
