I always seem to come back to LJ when I'm infatuated.  Whether I think I'm in love, or whether I know it's just a fling or a crush.  It's certainly easier to admit it here than where nearly everyone I know can see.

Yes, I'm in love again.  But this is different

And I also like the new romance stories of the women asking the men out, paying, driving around, and getting a hotel room for a good night! Fuck the norms, there are great men out there who deserve to be swept off their feet by daring, original, amazing women JUST LIKE YOU!

I would've loved to have been swept off my feet, but he wasn't exactly in a position to do the sweeping. :)
Then again, he was so charming, I was already swept! I didn't feel daring at the time, just knew I had to make my own magic in order to see anything come of it. But looking back, yeah, I am pretty daring! For someone who often feels so awkward & anxious, I moved heaven & earth within myself for that night to happen. I'm also not exactly flush at the moment, but it was worth every cent.

And I'm certainly glad to have found someone who appreciated it.

I miss my fellow. It's only been a couple months, & the long distance & time difference are rough, but I knew it would be. That's a choice I was not naive about. But we chat almost every day, & he's as kind, funny, sweet, & considerate as ever. I don't know if he realizes that he's peeled me off the ceiling a few times on the really rough days. And I know he's coming back, & that is the best part of it all.
