Weekly Roundup

Feb 15, 2011 02:15

It certainly says something about a week when the videos are so good, they delay me posting about the MMD Cup. Actually, that's half true - I've got the long list for the Cup ready but it kind of needs cutting down a bit, because what you can't see is that there's an entire other page of links still in that menu. Either way, the all-encompassing ( Read more... )

Oh god, I can't stop listening to BadBye since it showed up Friday. Koman absolutely surprised me. He's a genius.

Speaking of Koman, yesterday he posted an 8-man self chorus and piano to Rolling Girl. It is both hilarious and amazing.

Stel, you forgot Deadball's GUMI....

Sunset Love Suicide
This doesn't feel like his first Gumi song, the tuning is just too good.

Symphony
The PV is just pretty, the song is your usual BuzzG which I like, But this sounds rather lacking the impact.

Runaway Boy and Lost Girl
and everyone living happily ever after.
I thought GUMI died in the end....

BadBye
Shaft...The PV is so Shaft.
Koman? Is this the same guy who did those wonderful piano arrange of various popular Vocaloid song?

Insensitive Interve)ry
Been a while since the last time I saw song with long kanji title. The song is nice and all, except the part when Miku says the title which made me laugh.

That's the one. Apparently he also sings a mean choir.

*just watched the vid* Is there anything that this guy can't do!?
That self choir make me want to hear Konori doing the same.. Just for a complete devilish one man chorus goodness.

I can't wait for the best of MMD 6th cup, wktr! *_*

I liked emon(Tes.)'s HighEndCity (can be found on Dance Dance VOCALOMUSIC★Vol.01 -Fruity Technopop-, it's a great dance compilation album), shame about the view count.

Kaito's birthday is often confused with Valentine's Day, it's actually 17th Feb but fangirls like to make a 4 day event (14th-17th) of it (I'm not a fangirl... ^_^;;).

As I understood it, that was mostly due to a disparity in 'official' release dates. Yamaha says the 14th, while Crypton says the 17th. Most fans shrug their shoulders and just spam that date region either way.

'Fruity Technopop' might be the best description of Tes. around.

Yep, Kaito has two birthdays because he's awesome like that. He was born twice, that's all.

I want to make a big celebratory Kaito post myself but I'm kind of on the fence about it because I'm not really good at posting/identifying musical genres/etc, so it'd be a lot of misgenre'd songs.

Such a good week for PVs. Badbye, Symphony, and EASYGOING RIDER are all visually stunning.

I think it's rather odd but I really, really like Oster's Tete-a-Tete. Rather interessting PV too.

I don't like it as much as I could, as it's definitely reaching far towards the Kulfi levels of high floatiness. That said, there's really no other producer that tries to do that sort of European park-band sound.
